Is it too hot to go outside?

🐕Here are 6 Ways to Exercise Your Dog When You’re Stuck Indoors🐕

1. Food puzzles for dogs.
2. Training your dog.
3. Doggy nosework.
Get a few small, light boxes (cardboard egg cartons cut in half work well). Scatter them around the room, and get a friend to hide a yummy treat in one.
4. Chew toys.
5. Fetch.
6. Tug.

➡️Rolling around on the ground

Is walking your dog an awful experience because of their pulling?

Try these 5 ways to get your dog to stop pulling!

➡️Introduce your dog to the collar or harness and leash. Start out by letting him get used to wearing a collar or harness and a leash. Let him wear them for short periods of time, in the house, during which you are playing with him and giving him treats.

➡️Teach a cue. Introduce your puppy to a sound cue that means “food is coming.”

➡️Make him come to you. While he’s on his way to you, still wearing the leash and collar, back up a few paces and then reward when he gets to you. Continue the progression until your puppy, upon hearing the cue noise, comes to you and walks with you a few paces.

➡️Practice inside. Now that your puppy understands how to come to you, practice walking a few steps in a room with little distraction.

➡️Take it outside. Finally, you’re ready to test your puppy’s skills in the Great Outdoors. There will be new challenges with this step as all the sounds, smells, and sights.. Be patient and continue with your cue words and rewarding for positive behaviors.

People constantly want to know "How far can I walk my puppy?"

This is a great question! Below are some general guidelines.

BUT- you know your dog best. If you're finding that your dog still has energy, continue providing additional activity or walks.

12 week old puppy: 3 (months) X 5 = 15 minutes per day.
16 week old puppy: 4 x 5 = 20 minutes.
6 month old puppy: 6 X 5 = 30 minutes.

There are plenty of reasons why your dog may be chewing up a storm. Here are a few reasons:
✅Teething Puppies
Teething is extremely painful for puppies so chewing soothes their irritated gums
✅They are bored
Some dogs have a lot of energy and will get bored without something to do
✅Because everyone else is doing it
Instinctively, dogs like to chew because it helps strengthen their jaws and keep their teeth clean
How to stop them from chewing?
✅Offer your dog a chew toy or a dog bone and then praise your dog when they use it. This approach encourages your dog to chew a dog toy instead of your favorite pair of shoes! 👠
