In Loving Memory of Winston 🪽🌈
Today we remember one of our beloved alumni, Winston — a senior bulldog whose time with his forever family was far too short, but immeasurably full of love.
Adopted last November, Winston was supposed to be the one receiving comfort in his golden years. But as his family so beautifully shared, he was the one who gave it. From the moment he arrived, Winston made it clear: he may have been a senior, but he was never going to be “old.” He was 60 pounds of joyful, opinionated, never-slowing-down energy who had something to say—always. And if you didn’t listen, he’d make sure you did.
Nicknamed “Mr. AA” after Winston Churchill himself, he was persistent, affectionate, and fiercely full of life. Whether barking out one of his passionate “speeches,” hiking miles in the mountains, or waiting nightly to be tucked in with his special blanket and ear scratches, Winston lived each day as if it were a gift—and reminded everyone around him to do the same.
Loving a senior dog is something truly special. It’s not just about giving them comfort at the end; it’s about witnessing the wisdom, the joy, and the fire that still burns so brightly in their hearts.
To Winston’s family—we are so grateful you opened your hearts to him. Thank you for loving him so well, and for giving him the life he always deserved.
Run free, Mr. AA. You showed us all how it’s done. 💔🐾
