I can’t believe I whelped my first litter FIVE years ago already. The hard lessons learned, the knowledge attained and the growth that’s happened in those short years is also unbelievable.

While both of your parents have passed on, you all continue to show me bits and pieces of both of them! 💜🌈🐾

Kai is from my A litter (Arek x Only) and he was returned to me by his owner. He was not living a fulfilling life in an apartment with an owner gone 12+ hours at a time. So I am very glad to have the opportunity to find him a new place.

I’ve been spending some time with him to get a feel for his temperament to see what kind of home he would be most appropriate for.

He is lacking a lot of socialization outside of the home. He is very forward in his aloofness, but timid and nervous at the same time until properly given the time to adjust and get comfortable. (Adults / children | either gender but more nervous around men) Most uncomfortable/ takes longest to adjust around men.

Once he spends time with someone, he warms up surprisingly quickly. He has a really fun, happy go lucky personality once he is comfortable with someone.

He has quickly figured out the routine with me.
He had free range of his previous home and is house broken. He’s currently living at my dog training facility in a 4 x 8 kennel run with no issues.

He knows, sit and down from a stand in German. He is very reliable off leash.
He does have preydrive for small animals. (Squirrels / rabbits) Excellent loose leash walking manners.He’s great in the bath and enjoys the blower. His nails have been severely neglected and are a work in progress (don’t judge😅).

I do have a cat at my facility, and he has been very respectful of her.

He is dog selective. Does not tolerate other males nonsense. Very fair in his corrections. They are quick and over with. Gets along great with all females.

He has medium food drive, but little to none when over his threshold. Medium to high ball drive.

Due to his environmental instability, I don’t feel comfortable advertising that he would be a fun sport dog.

His best new home would look like an active family with a big yard. A single individual looking for a deterrent. A running buddy to help you feel safe. He loves going hiking, doing obedience for his ball and spending time with his handler.
He’s a very cuddly GSD.

I would prefer a home with children old enough to be respectful of him and the adjustment period to a new home, even though he’s been exposed to my niece and infant and has been great around them.

Behind the name...

Seelenfeuer means “Soul Fire” in German.

I chose this kennel name because to me it encompasses what I look for in a dog and it also connects to me on a personal level with my training company, “Hund + Soul”.

Not to mention both of my heart breeds are of German origin!

I feel as I have so much invested in my personal dogs and a fire within to prove my breeding stock as breed worthy on my own, without importing already titled dogs.
