It's been a while.....

Lighter mornings, brighter evenings and the boys getting a little older means I’m excited to say… I’m expanding my teaching and schooling availability ☀️🐴

Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to my wonderful long-standing clients 🤍 It’s been such a privilege to support your journeys. Watching your progress and being part of your horses’ development has meant so much to me.

I now have very limited availability to welcome a few new combinations.

For those that don't know me....

Hi, I’m Sophie 👋
I specialise in dressage with a strong focus on correct biomechanics for both horse and rider. With a qualification in EQ Band Biomechanics and years spent as head girl and rider on an international dressage yard, I bring hands-on experience from youngsters through to Grand Prix.

My lessons and pole clinics focus on progressive, purposeful exercises to improve rhythm, balance, straightness and adjustability — always helping riders understand the why behind the work so improvements last at home.

I teach all levels and pride myself on creating a supportive, positive environment where horse and rider can build confidence, improve performance and enjoy the journey and most importantly having fun and a laugh along the way.

Carl Hester tells us:
“Self-carriage is really easy to see. It’s that tension into the hand that we were talking about with Valegro, the first place you see it is through the whole of the top line of the horse. The best thing you can do for self-carriage is the give and re-take of the reins. It is amazing how you forget to do that when you ride on your own. That constant giving the hand, taking, giving, taking, making sure that the outline is stable, the mouth is soft. You only have to look at the mouth to know how it is working, the horse is carrying its own head and neck. People that ride on their own, it can be something that they forget they are doing, people put in too much power and that’s why they find self-carriage difficult, and I always think you’ve got to create balance and then put power in, that way around.”

Sophie Brown is a qualified EQ Band coach and dressage rider. Her experience as a rider combined with the EQ band training can help riders find strength and stability in their seat in turn improving the connection to the horse and aiding in their way of going.

Tuition is private for 60 mins allowing time to assess your position, add the EQ bands required, discuss your position and findings and feel the improvements after riding with the bands.

£65.00 for 60mins private tuition

The clinic will be held on the indoor arena with beverages available ☕️
