ARC All Rescued Creatures The ARC was set up 7 years ago to rescue animals in need. Basically to help people wishing to adopt and are having difficulty doing so. This is crazy.

After finding it too financially difficult to continue, I decided on 1August 2022, to become a DOG BROKER. The ARC - All Rescued Creatures - has today 1 August 2022, changed it's focus to help those who are finding it difficult to adopt a dog, to reach that goal. I see so many comment on shared rescue pages, that people are having no luck adopting dogs! Pounds, shelters, rescue organisations are b

ursting at the seams with animals! Just starting today, I have answered maybe 40 requests. It is amazing that most of these people have no idea the resources available! All I want is to connect people with dogs, so they can find forever homes. I want to help those who are looking for a MEDIUM to LARGE DOG and SENIORS. These are the hardest to rehome and often overlooked. These dogs are my focus. The ARC -was a home based, private rescue. It was self funded, which was tough, so sadly we essentially closed for newbies last year. It was a terrible decision to make, but with zero funds, it was the only one possible.

Our Story

The ARC - All Rescued Creatures is a home based, private rescue. It is self funded, which has been tough, so sadly we essentially closed for newbies last year. It was a terrible decision to make, but with zero funds, it was the only one possible. Sadly it seems most people are dog lovers and it has been incredibly hard to re-home the cats. At present 8 of the cats need dentals, which start at $300 each and can reach $800 or more if they need teeth pulled. The first boy had his done for $600.

We used to take on as many poundies that need saving, mostly oldies and unwanted animals. However, with the advent of a new Ranger, the dogs now go to Queensland to another rescue and the cats go to the local RSPCA, who are luckily a handful of locals who actually care about the animals. We are near Glen Innes, NSW, which is about 4 hours to the Qld border.

The house is actually a shed built with an add-on, which is “the dog lounge”. They have 3x 3 seater couches, a 2 seater ottoman and an enormous beanbag. They are totally separate from the cats, who reign over the house area. The cats have an enclosure the size of a 2 car garage outside, which they can access any time, day or night, via a walkway from my bedroom.

Of the remaining 10 cats, 8 are available for adoption. They are adults, around 3 years old and one slightly older boy at 7 years old. They have lived together for at least 3 years, so are cat friendly and most are dog friendly too. Please get in contact if you are interested in rehoming a cat. Adoption fees will be negligible for the right home. Indoor cats have an average life span of between 13-17 years.
