My Passion for Cavaliers

When I got my first Blenheim Cavalier “Callie” 10 years ago, I had hoped to breed her. Unfortunately, I’d been duped by the breeder who said her dogs were health tested and from the “best Irish lines”. Instead Callie had numerous health problems including deafness, MVD, arthritis, ruptured tendons, and dry eye. I was heartbroken. But my love for Cavaliers only grew greater.

Callie has been such a brave and lovely dog that I decided to dedicate the rest of my life to improving the breed by writing about Cavaliers and also breeding a few healthy litters. Fast forward 10 years, we now live in France and have added 4 more beautiful Cavaliers to our pack. I’ve had two photographic coffee table books on Cavaliers published. I enjoy more than 7,000 friends on Facebook, most of whom are Cavalier breeders and owners. And I’ve had some success in showing my dogs in Europe.

In pursuit of my passion, in the last couple of years I’ve worked hard to learn as much as I can about the breed -- from understanding the standards and identifying reputable breeders worldwide to researching health issues and testing protocols to Cavalier rescue efforts. There’s still so much more to learn about Cavaliers but if plans go according to my dreams, we’ll start having a few select litters in the spring of 2019. We are a registered breeder with Canine Centrale in France and the FCI.

We’ve already had a singleton puppy, Princess Olive,” by our Ruby “Araway’s Funny Fresh sired by our beautiful male, BMC You Hung the Moon (Moonbeam). Olive is a cherished part of our household and a very beautiful and well adjusted dog. Our puppies are raised in our home and are catered to by a full-time breeder and her husband. We start them off right with the best nutrition, veterinary care, early neurological stimulation, and socialization techniques to make them the best possible pets. Prospective owners will be carefully screened to ensure they can meet the needs of our loving long-term companions. You can be assured that our puppies are loved the same as children and so by extension our pet families will naturally become part of our extended family. When we sell a puppy, it is the start of a relationship We will always be responsive to your needs. You can bring your puppy to stay with us and we want to be the first people you call if ou have any questions as you live with your Cavalier. We provide our puppy buyers with detailed information on raising and caring for their new “baby,” including a puppy pack and a baby photo book of their puppy from the day of its birth to the day it goes home with its new family.
