A Passion for Animals

I am a 22 year old student that calls Perth, Western Australia her home. I’ve possessed a love and passion for animals since a very young age. Throughout my journey, I have encountered many animals that need help and care. These encounters have shaped me into the person I am today. I believe animals should have strong people to advocate for them and I believe they all deserve a chance at a fulfilling and enriching life. I am passionate about providing exceptional care to animals and would like to dedicate my life caring for them.

I started petsitting the summer I graduated high school in 2015 and have been caring for animals in an employment capacity though madpaws.com.au ever since. In the year of 2020 I commenced my studies in the animal care industry and have begun seeking other work experiences to help aid my knowledge for companion animal care. I highly believe in the importance of correct animal care and abide by RSPCA’s Five Freedoms and urge others to educate themselves about laws regarding animals. I am an advocate for reptiles as I believe they -especially snakes- are given a bad rep and would like to educate those on the importance and beauty of reptiles within our world.

I am a reliable, honest and hardworking individual that enjoys learning new things. I live a simple life with the goal of giving back to those who need it and I believe the animal kingdom need advocates to speak on their behalf. Caring for animals brings me joy and in a world such like ours, we need all the joy we can get! Animals have been my lifeline and have helped me through anxiety and depression and I would like to give back to every scaly, furry or feathery friend I meet. Having experience with all sorts of animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, reptiles and amphibians, as well as the knowledge I am obtaining through my studies, I believe I would be the best petsitter for all your animal care needs. I have obtained my Venomous Snake Relocation Course through West Aussie Reptiles, which will give pet owners an extra peace of mind during the hot summers in WA that your pet will be safe from stay snakes that may make an appearance. I also have a WWCC and Police check and have my information and profile verified on the madpaws.com.au, for added relief knowing your pet will be safe and cared for.
