Gracious God, Gentle Shepherd, Garden Planter, we come to You on behalf of those who toil in farm and field, producing food for Your children and feed for creatures around the world…

Lord, give crops and livestock the break they need from days and nights of stifling heat, that they may recover and flourish...

Steer the rain clouds in the right direction and send rain in the right amounts, for some have too much, and some too little…

Protect farm workers from heat, exhaustion and injury…

Protect livestock too—every chick and calf, every shoat and sheep, every bird and beast in the barn…

Deliver farmers from the debt accrued from costly machinery and shifting markets…

Save land and buildings, plants and animals from wildfire, erosion and light…

Deliver them from the ravages of inflation; bring down the cost of seed, feed, fertilizer, fuel and hay into reasonable ranges...

Save farmers from the twin perils of low yield and depressed sale prices that plunder their profits...

Chase from them the worry and panic that so easily besets and send peace that passes understanding to their hearts and mind...

Protect, preserve and prosper their family relationships amid long hours and stressful times…

Trent was diagnosed with a form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma in June and is currently going thru chemotherapy treatments. Trent is a friend to all and we are trying to help ease some of the financial burden he is incurring. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to him to help with expenses incurred.

Our Black Angus Beef cows at Rocky Hills Retreat are free from any growth hormones or antibiotics. They are naturally raised on grass and forage. We offer grass finished or natural grain finished.

There are benefits to both grass and grain finish so it's your choice. Our opinion and recommendation from years of experience is grain finished.
Grain finished gives you a more tender meat and less "game" flavor than grass finished. They both are healthy clean meat no matter which one you choose.

We would love to answer any questions you may have. We would love for you to come visit us and see the cattle we raise right here on our land. You can even choose the heifer or steer you want us to raise for you. We welcome you to take home a package of meat to try.

We offer a 1/2 or whole cow processed and vacuum sealed. You will get a cut sheet to choose your cuts.
We have 4 grain finished available now for October butcher date.
2 grass finished for January Butcher date.

Half down and the rest when your meat is delivered to you.

We are a small Black Angus cattle operation with around a 100 head. We take pride in raising our grass and grain fed beef calves in the healthiest way without any hormones or antibiotics. We offer a variety of ways to purchase farm raised Black Angus cattle. Rocky Hills Retreat is our family farm that has been in our family for many generations. My great grandmother decided in 1976 that the family farm needed a name to go along with the beautiful rocky hill tops, that's when the name Rocky Hills Retreat was established. We have been blessed by the many years of knowledge and experience that has been passed down from generation to generation. We look forward to meeting your farm raised beef needs.
