Foal watch volunteers needed!!

We have a mare due the end of March... when she gets close we’ll need volunteer foal watchers to hang out over night with her. Coffee, semi comfy chair, and snacks provided! Foaling staff onsite to attend!!!

Weekend stall cleaner needed ASAP. 10-14 stalls with some attached runs. Clean, re-bed, clean auto waters and buckets, sweep aisles. Generally 3-4 hours of work.

Conveniently located in Franktown.

Must be hard working team player, have dependable transportation, and willingly take direction. Some horse experience preferred for dealing with horses on restricted exercise in stalls while cleaning.

It’s a good week here for several rehab clients...here is intern Rachel putting the first post injury/surgery ride on Cruz. He goes home tomorrow to continue legging up after a rehab. Everyone was all smiles!

Stall cleaner position open!

AER is looking for a stall cleaner(s). Looks like we have 7 days a week available. There are between 10-14 stalls and 8 outside pens/dry lots. We’re in Franktown. Work generally takes 3-5 hours.

This is an equine rehabilitation facility, so some horse experience is required because many of the horses are on stall rest as they recover from injuries/illness.

Work to be completed by 12-1 each day, start time is somewhat flexible.

Must have reliable transportation, be a motivated and independent worker who can also be a part of our amazing team and take guidance from management.

It was a busy Monday at AER this week! Farriers, exercise rides for a rehab horse, vet visit. We have a full house of orthopedic, post-colic surgery, and wound cases.

As we’ve grown at our new facility, I am particularly grateful for my home team and all the outside professionals that help us every day to make sure these horses are getting what they need to heal, and go back to doing what they do best.

I can’t say enough good about my VitaFloor! It has been a great additional modality to use for horses that are on stall rest. There was a study published recently that clearly shows increase in the multifidus muscle (top line) of horses standing on the Vitafloor!

We had a great morning giving a class of veterinary technician students from Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technicians a tour (and having them do some work!). The donkeys even got a little handling and attention!

AER is still looking for a part time/fill in stall cleaner. 10-14 stalls, some with runs, and 8 outside pens. Must have some horse experience, a reliable car, and be dependable and hard working! Some weekday fill in, and occupational weekends. Have schedule that goes out two months. Pay by the job...based on experience. Averages 3-4 hours of work per day!

Help wanted!

AER is hiring a rehab assistant. 3-5 days per week, 4-5 hours per day. Looking for a motivated, team player with horse experience who is interested in learning more about equine rehabilitation. Primary duties are putting horses on the walker, Vitafloor, and cold laser. Some grooming, holding for farrier, etc occasionally.

We are looking for someone who can start ASAP. There will be a trial period set up as working student position. After that period, will turn into a paid position, with pay scale dependent on experience. Email [email protected] if interested.

Duties influence sweeping the aisles, cleaning auto waters, cleaning/filling water buckets in a few stalls, and feeding lunch hay.
