Our Club's annual All Breeds Championship Show will be held on Sunday 7 July at Cyril Jackson Recreation Centre, Bassendean.

This year it is a 2 Ring show with Jo-Anne Frank (QFA) judging all breeds in Ring 1 and Kirsty Connell (CatsWA) judging Groups 1 and 4 in Ring 2 and Carole Galli (CatsWA) judging Groups 2 and 3 in Ring 2.

So save the date, clear your schedule and pencil the date in your diary!!

The judge in Ring 3 of our show is Carole Galli (CatsWA).

Carole's bio is :-

"I began breeding Burmese cats in 2000 after falling in love with a very Nortie Brown Tortie. I loved the O gene colours and bred reds and creams in particular along with the torties. In 2003 I met my first Burmilla and fell in love with their delightful temperament and silver coats. I applied for an experimental program to breed Burmillas, beginning with the foundation matings between Burmese and Chinchilla. Working with two other breeders I was able to add higher generation Burmillas into the program. I specialise in short hair Burmillas and occasionally breed a long hair litter. I breed the Burmilla in all colours including the O Gene series. In 2011 I included the Mandalay into my breeding program. I became an All Shorthair judge in June 2018 and I commenced Group One training in 2017.".

Carole obtained her All Breeds Judge status in 2021.

Introducing our interstate All Breeds judge, Jenny Weekes. Jenny will be judging All Breeds in Ring 2 at our show on Sunday 16 July 2023.

Jenny's bio is as follows:-

"I have owned cats my entire life, starting with farm cats as a child. I purchased my first pet Birman in 1990 and my first breeding Birman in 1994. With my husband Greg we have bred Birmans in Canberra, Townsville, Wellington (NZ) on the Gold Coast and now at Murrumbateman. My first prefix – Kachin was granted in Canberra in 1994 and my current prefix, Sunsoar, was granted in 1997. We have achieved many major awards at specialist and All Breed shows including Birman Cat Fanciers Qld Supreme Exhibit 2010 and 2012 and two Best Group 1 desexed at the ACF National 2016.

Following my retirement from the RAAF and moving to the Gold Coast in 2006, I was able to commence training to become a judge with QFA and gained my Companion licence in 2007 with QFA, followed by a Group 1 (Longhair) licence in 2009. I became an All Breeds Judge in 2014.

Greg and I are enjoying our life in Murrumbateman and share our home with our Birmans, Bees and Alpacas. Aside from my cat related activities I enjoy gardening, bee keeping, travelling and spending time with the grandchildren."

Preparations are well underway for our show on Sunday 16 July 2023 at Cyril Jackson Recreation Centre, Bassendean. It will be a 4 ring show, with 1 international judge from the USA, 1 interstate judge, 1 WA judge and the final ring made up of a further 3 WA judges.

We have some wonderful sponsors who have come on board and we shall be showcasing them here between now and the show.

It is always good to support where possible our sponsors as they help us to help you have a wonderful show.
