Nonprofit We are based out of Cookeville TN serving Putnam County. We specialize in pregnant females, orphaned kittens, injured animals which are treated at Ragland and Riley Veterinary Hospital . Our rescued animals are placed in a foster home, where they can be socialized and house trained, which gives them a better chance to be adopted, and make the adoption more successful. We are a Cat Rescue

, but will try to help dogs and other animals find the help they need. Our animals have come from environments that were not healthy for the animals such as abandoned animals, orphaned kittens, pregnant females or animals that were given up due to owner financial or other issues. We rely on sponsors and donations to pay for medical bills for our rescue animals. We are always looking for foster parents for our animals that are in need of a loving and caring home. Get Involved! Become a Foster Parent: Fostering animals is a rewarding experience! Many of the animals have had bad experiences with the human population and are scared and untrusting, by becoming a foster home you will be able to socialize and gain the animals trust, and in doing that they will be better prepared to be adopted into their forever homes. It is very rewarding when you recognize the difference you have made in the animals life. Donate can! This is Winnie. She’s a gorgeous gray tabby with impeccable taste and very strong opinions. Case in point: her tongue is out because she’s giving us her thoughts on STILL being at PetSmart without finding her forever home.

A few weeks ago, we shared the devastating story of Stella—a 7-year-old tuxedo girl who spent her days confined to a dog crate, 2,555+ days 😭. Her owners claimed anxiety caused her to pull out her fur, but the truth was far worse. Stella was neglected, battling ear mites, fleas, and a painful ear infection that left permanent damage. Her once-bright spark seemed to have faded, and she had all but given up.

💔 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘄. 💔

Thanks to the love and care of her foster mom, Stella is blossoming into the brave, adventurous, and affectionate girl she was always meant to be. She’s feeling well enough to climb to the top of the cat tree, and when you go to leave, she’ll gently reach out with her paw, as if to say, “𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧.” 🥹

While her ear may never fully heal and her fur may not completely grow back, her heart is healing—and that’s what matters most. Stella loves to be loved, and she’s proving that with a little patience and kindness, even the most neglected souls can rediscover joy.

Now, Stella is ready to write the next chapter of her story. She’s spayed, up-to-date on her shots, and finishing her antibiotics this week. This sweet, curious girl is looking for her forever home—a place where she’ll never feel abandoned or unloved again.

🏟️ 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻!

On June 24th, the Tennessee Vols (Vollie) took home the College World Series title, and a couple at Spankies cheered them on until the very end. But little did they know, their night was about to get even more unforgettable.

As they drove back home to Monterey, they heard a tiny noise under the hood of their Camaro. When they checked, there she was — an 8-week-old kitten who had held on through it all, tough as nails and full of fight. 💪🐱

That’s how Volli got her name, and she’s been a little fighter ever since. She’s a sweetheart who’s just a little shy at first but warms up quickly with patience and love. She’s been waiting for her perfect match, but somehow, this amazing girl hasn’t found her forever home yet.

🐾 Volli is back at PetSmart, hoping that THIS time will be the charm. She’s had her share of waiting — windows she didn’t love, timing that wasn’t right — and now she’s ready for her second chance at love.

About 7 months ago, my mom was a feral cat waiting to be spayed, but she had my litter in a basement just days before her appointment. I was raised by a wonderful foster family, who socialized me very well. I love to run and play with my siblings or people. I'm extremely loveable and affectionate. I enjoy a good cuddle next to or on you. My striking rum-colored eyes, glossy black coat, and little white chest dot make me even more irresistible to everyone who meets me.

While I've never been around dogs, I have lived happily with several other cats. It's great that I've never been outside, as that means I’ll be a perfect indoor companion for anyone looking for a cuddly, playful kitty.

A few weeks ago, we shared an urgent plea for a foster home for these four kittens, abandoned in the cold around an apartment complex. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, these sweet siblings are now safe, warm, and thriving. 💕

At just 5-6 months old, these precious babies will be getting their surgeries and shots this week and will soon be ready to find their forever homes. 🏡

💛 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮: A shy but sweet dilute tortie female. Once she trusts you, she’ll greet you with the biggest purrs and all the love.

🖤 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝘀: A charming black male with a dab of white on his chest. He’s the most talkative and full of personality—he’ll never let you forget he’s in the room!

💛 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗮: A loving dilute tortie female. She’s a total cuddle bug who will rub against your legs as soon as you walk in the door, purring all the while.

I'm playful and energetic for a while, then I enjoy my naps. I absolutely love to play with other cats and people, but my foster dad says I'm the best lapcat in my litter. In true orange cat style, I have looks and personality for days! I'm sweet, playful, and snuggly. What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, I'm ready to go home today!

When Wink came to us, he was about 85% blind, but that didn’t stop him from stealing hearts. He was adopted more than a year ago as the only kitty in his home, and his adopters wondered how he’d adjust to having a feline friend.

The Dynamic Duo, Bacardi & Barcelo, are bonded brothers who love to do everything together.

Bacardi & Barcelo are here to ask: What's better than one gorgeous kitty? Two bonded gorgeous kitties, of course! Bonded means they love each other dearly and would suffer unduly if separated, so these boys need to go home together. These bookends are neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and ready to go home with you today.

About 7 months ago, their mom was a feral cat waiting to be spayed, but she had a litter of 5 in a basement just days before her appointment. The kittens were raised by a wonderful foster family, who did a great job socializing them.

So many families search for cats who will cuddle and hope their cats will get along. Bacardi and Barcelo say put your minds at ease and search no further! They do everything together. When they finish running the Catona 500, they will settle in for cuddles and bathe each other. They often lay wrapped in each others' paws. They'll also seek out people to cuddle with them. They both like to flip upside down and make air biscuits, sometimes reaching out to you to make biscuits on you, too. Both boys are extremely affectionate. If cute and cuddly lap cats combined with lots of playfulness are what you're searching for, these boys have it in spades.

Somebody liked Barcelo, so they put a ring on it. Check out his front right paw, looking like he's sporting a gemstone on his ring toe. Meanwhile, Bacardi is wearing a nice-sized round white dot on his back.

They need a warm, loving foster home—just a safe place to call their own. Our rescue is at capacity, but we cannot stand by and let these innocent souls suffer through the cold. We’re reaching out to you, our community, to help us give these cats a second chance. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so special! Rex has been with us for several months now, waiting patiently for his chance to find a loving home. We thought he had found his family once, but sadly, it fell through. What happens when a couple finds sick kittens outside and brings them to a high-volume shelter in a bucket? In shelters that have a kitten diversion program, they’ll be given the opportunity to take home some supplies and foster the kittens themselves…and if they’re as awesome as this couple, they’ll say YES! Although we are not a shelter, this is how also how we operate. What we find is that around 35% of people bringing kittens to shelters will actually be willing to foster them if presented with an honest conversation about the risk of euthanasia, and if provided with supplies and support. By empowering the community to play a role, these programs can sometimes even inspire people to foster again and again! These babies cannot survive without community support, so I love to see this kind of transparency and community engagement, which is making a HUGE impact in reducing euthanasia and saving little lives! Fluffy is sooo sweet and ready to find her forever home ❤️

This precious guy is looking for his forever home 🧡 Fivel is about 10 months old and is one of the most entertaining cats you will ever meet!!! He has been fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped! He came to us with a very bad infection in his eyes (first video in comments) which caused him to be about 50%-75% blind. He still gets around great and is a perfect gentleman (great with the litterbox, doesn’t scratch furniture, doesn’t jump on counters, and the list goes on🥰) The only reason we haven’t put him up for adoption at PetSmart is that we think that might be a little too scary for him with all the glass and noises on the other side. Also, it is REALLY important to us that whoever takes this sweet boy understands that he has to stay indoors, as he can’t properly defend himself outdoors 💔 FB will only let me share one video, so the rest are in the comments ❤️ Stories and babies like this are why we do what we do!!! This little guy barely had a chance, and as much as it breaks his foster’s heart to let him go, she’s prepared him for the world and she can’t wait to see how he fills his new family’s heart with joy ❤️❤️❤️
