Another weekend in Dog Schkola 😍🐶
More over this time our class was visited by veterinary behaviorist Dr. Ellen Sandhas ❤ with whom we've been working on difficult cases for a couple of years now. She is a thoughtful, skilled, attentive doctor, and what a joy — she really enjoyed her time with us!
So now Dog School is proud to imagine to have our own 'on-board' behavioural vet 😛 To which I congratulate us all!

Dear friends,
I am happy to announce that we have launched a new project - group classes for dogs and humans in Neukölln 🚀🐶!!!!! We now meet every Sunday on Schillerpromenade, a five minute walk from the Tempelhof! We practice in a big beautiful hall, sometimes on the field and sometimes on the streets of the city.

Classes are in small groups (max 6 dogs) in three languages:

10:00 places available
16:30 places available
18:30 places available

On the programme:
- obedient dog
- tricks and games
- confidence building and relaxation
- urban parkour

We have an unusual school and places are limited! You can leave an application via private message or on WhatsApp. See you in class! 🐶

я рада сообщить, что мы запустили новый проект - групповые занятия для собак и людей на русском языке в Нойкёльне 🚀🐶!!! Теперь мы встречаемся каждое воскресенье на Schillerpromenade в пяти минутах ходьбы от Tempelhof! Мы занимаемся в большом красивом зале, иногда на поле, а иногда на улицах города. Скоро запустим англоязычные группы! 😍

Successfully completed!! 😅 4 months of fulltime training in animal behavior, including: over 40 hours of video analysis. Tabulations and calculations. Classifications and protocols. 24 written homework assignments! This was probably the most interesting and in-depth course I have ever had in the field of animal behavior. An unforgettable experience and an open door to further studies and (I hope!) even science! Thank you everyone who patiently waited ❤ I am working on a regular schedule until July. Back to learning in August! 😄

Some of my trauma study in 2023. Over 50 hours of trauma related multimodal training this year. To be continued because the topic is extremely complicated and each case is unique and very dear to me.

What is trauma and post traumatic stress in dogs? Which dogs are most often affected by trauma and which types of trauma are the most severe? What systems in the organism are affected and to which extent? When does mental pain causes physical one and vice versa? How does trauma influence dog's ability to rest, learn and remember? How can we help an animal to believe the world is safe and teach self-regulation?

If your dog is struggling in the environment, it does not mean she necessary has a trauma. Yet when she does, it is not always easy to acknowledge.

Little did I know!😂 The results of Kari's DNA sequencing have arrived. Life will never be the same!! Astonishing! On the other hand makes pretty much sence (but it is compliceted)! 😄 Highly recommended for all rescue owners to undergo such testing. So much fun, such a better understanding of the nature of your dog 😍 We did it together with "health kit" - no breed related genetic disorders found. Very low level of inbreeding. All good news!

What an honor! 🤗 I received a present from Lisa Tenzin-Dolma, a founder of "The International School for Canine Psychology and Behaviour" - her wonderful book about a romanian feral dog who was rescued and moved to England to start his new life. A fascinating, inspiring, heart-warming read for anyone working with feral dogs or living with such a rescue 💛
