Freya got to run her heart out today in the CPDC Amateur Shooting Dog stake earning her first 5 point major towards her field trial Championship. Congratulations to all the dogs who placed! It was great to see so many different pointing breeds represented✨

Crossiron Kennels was one of only 5 kennels to receive this year’s Utility Test Breeder’s Award!
It is truly a dream come true to achieve this level and we are so very proud of the dedication and commitment demonstrated by our owners and their very special dogs!💖🎉✨

Amid all the excitement of seeing the pups heading off to their forever homes we forgot that today is Freya's and her F littermate's second birthday! Thank you for the reminder!!

What an amazing journey Miss Freya has had in 2 short years!She was our first dog to earn MAXIMUM scores in both her NAVHDA Natural Ability test and Utility Test. She also was our youngest dog to earn her Prize 1 UT at just 17 months. In CKC she was the #2 Derby dog in Canada earning a first and second placement.
In CKC field testing, she earned her Field Dog and Field Dog Advanced titles as well as her Water Dog Junior title.
In the show ring, she earned her Grand Championship with limited showings as she was very busy doing her main job as a bird dog.
We couldn't be prouder of our little firecracker and are excited to see what she'll do next!

Roy, Kota, Quinn had a great weekend in Chilliwack, BC at the Ladies Kennel Club of BC this past weekend. The trip home through the mountains was harrowing but that's Canadian winters for you!
Roy celebrated his 2nd birthday with 2 BOB wins, Kota rocked it out there taking breed the second day and Quinn was BOS the first day! The dogs showed so well and we are so proud of Jenna's first BOB win with Kota and Ry's 4th place win in Juniors with Quinn!

This is a dream come true! We just received this in the mail and we never believed it would be achievable for our small kennel do but thanks to Haven (Mary) Rocky (Jenna) and Belle (Andrea ) from our 'A' litter - all achieved their NAVHDA Prize 1 Utility Test titles and this achievement resulted in Crossiron Kennels receiving their first Utility Breeders Award! (Three dogs from the same litter must achieve a Prize 2 or higher to qualify).
Many, many hours of blood, sweat and tears and down right dedication to the sport of training gun dogs for all three dogs from our first litter to achieve our first UT Breeders Award!
Words cannot begin to express our gratitude to these women for working so diligently in taking their dogs to this very high testing level! 🥇🥇🥇

It just goes by way too fast and seeing them grow and change before our eyes is really so amazing! Their little personalities are emerging and they are learning so much about interacting with their great big world!🌎

Reagan does things her way and she refuses to follow the rules. 😜 She decided today was the day for her pups to arrive - and she took us by surprise by forgoing the typical 2* temp drop and birthing her first pup shortly before 10 am. Thankfully, we were suspicious enough of her behaviour to have her in her whelping box. She also was kind enough to have a day time litter and had all 10 pups by 3:00 pm. Sadly, one was a little angel pup but the 5 girls and 4 boys are absolutely gorgeous with beautiful dark heads like both Reagan and Roy. It was such a joy to have both our daughter's handling the whelp involving the grandkids and Sue for coming over to lend her expertise and help us out!

We had a wonderful first day at the Prince Albert show!
Royal & Madison Bernardin took breed both shows and then went on to get a Group 4th placement in the morning under Judge Ben Wasylyshen and a 3rd placement in the afternoon under Judge Lynn White. Ryleigh did an super job handling Quinn to a Best Opposite S*x and then Select in the afternoon show against some lovely specials.
It was truly wonderful to be in the ring together with my granddaughter creating memories, handling for the very first time ~ taking Freya to a Select placement in the morning and a Best Opposite in the afternoon.
My heart is full...💖

We couldn't be prouder of our granddaughter Ryleigh. Not only does she love all things 'dog' from field handling to junior handling in the ring, she also plays piano and is a very accomplished swimmer.
Though we are amazed by her talents, we are most proud of the person she is growing up to be! It would be hard to find a sweeter, kinder, more loving & generous person than our Ry! And we are so blessed to have her in our family!💖✨
