Laid back, mellow personality. Likes to be with people and needs human contact and touch. Loves her belly rubs. Will walk with a harness. Is crate trained with some recall but can use some more training with other commands. She is in need of more space than what the current owners can give her. Strong, high fenced yard required. Canine influenza (H3N2 canine flu) has been identified in a dog in Calgary, Alberta. It is suspected to have been acquired from dogs that participated in a dog show in the US near the end of September.

As with our human forms of influenza, dog flu is airborne. Respiratory secretions appear in the environment in the form of coughing, barking, and sneezing, where they are then inhaled by a new canine host. The dog flu also spreads through contaminated objects and environments, like water bowls, collars, and kennel surfaces, or through contact with people who have had direct contact with an infected dog.

With that in mind, the CKC advises all judges at CKC events ask exhibitors to open the dog's mouth for examination to ensure the health and safety of our dogs. We also recommend that Judges who choose to open a dog's mouth for examination sanitize their hands when possible.

La grippe canine (H3N2) a été identifiée chez un chien à Calgary, en Alberta. On soupçonne qu'il a été contaminé par des chiens ayant participé à une exposition canine aux États-Unis vers la fin du mois de septembre.

Comme pour les formes humaines de la grippe, la grippe canine est transmise par voie aérienne. Les sécrétions respiratoires apparaissent dans l'environnement sous forme de toux, d'aboiements et d'éternuements, où elles sont ensuite inhalées par un nouvel hôte canin. La grippe canine se propage également par le biais d'objets et d'environnements contaminés, comme les écuelles, les colliers et les surfaces des chenils, ou par contact avec des personnes ayant été en contact direct avec un chien infecté.

C'est pourquoi le CCC recommande à tous les juges des événements du CCC de demander aux exposants d'ouvrir la gu**le de leur chien pour l'examiner afin d'assurer la santé et la sécurité de nos chiens. Nous recommandons également aux juges qui choisissent d'ouvrir la gu**le d'un chien pour l'examiner de se désinfecter les mains dans la mesure du possible.
