We are hiring!
A new vacancy has arisen at our clinic, we are looking for a social person to work in our reception on full time basis. Duties include:
- greeting clients and their pets
- booking appointments
- selling food and over the counter treatments
- preparing and handling invoices
- cleaning and organising reception area
Previous experience will be considered an asset.

Shakira is one of our patients who required our hospitalisation during the weekend, she is a critical patient who is on medication and fluid therapy throughout the day to have a better recovery. ❤️‍🩹

The idea of opening on Sundays is for these types of pets that require critical care or emergency care only.

Pets and vets is continuing to expand and are currently we are hiring a general maintenance person. Duties include facilities, painting, caging, medical equipment repairs and maintenance, and general upkeep.

As a General Maintenance Person you are part of our facility team and your passion is to provide an exceptional environment that contributes to our high level of care for pets that enter our clinic. You will connect and work with our team to resolve any equipment, facility and machine faults and maintain high standards of our company.

The ideal candidate should be able to communicate well in spoken and written English.

Qualified from Alma Mater Studiorum Universita' di Bologna in 2009 and founded Pets and Vets in November 2014. Victoria has extensive knowledge in surgery, veterinary dentistry, ophtalmology and emergency medicine.

She has a special interest in wildlife and exotic pets, has worked with zoo medicine, and has experience as a volunteer with TNR and rabies vaccination campaigns in India and Thailand.

She performs surgeries and runs regular clinic consultations for pets and regularly cares for the wildlife patients in our clinic.

Gezzamina came to the clinic with a respiratory issue. The clinical examination 🩺revealed a large nasopharyngeal polyp causing intermittent upper airway obstruction.

Nasopharyngeal polyps often cause upper airway difficulty, you can notice stertorous breathing and inspiratory dyspnea. Polyps are usually benign fleshy masses that emerge from the nose, nasopharynx, middle ear, or external auditory canal. Polyps usually appear in younger cats 🐱.

Treatment for nasopharyngeal polyps includes appropriate workup, diagnosis, and removal with traction of which we rely on the help of an endoscope for better visualization . After surgery you can see the airway opening completely clear (Image 4). Now with antibiotic therapy and analgesics, Gezzemina is at home eating and breathing completely well.🐈

Our Story

Pets & Vets Veterinary Clinic was opened in November 2014 by our head vet Dr. Victoria Bondin. She graduated 10 years ago and is our main surgeon and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, as well as a soft spot for stray and abandoned animals. Dr. Helen Mower who has 7 years of experience joined the team in July 2016 and has a special interest in anesthesia, internal medicine as well as Ultrasonography. Dr. Francesca Falcioni who is our junior vet joined the team in January 2019 after being an intern with our clinic through an Erasmus project in the summer of 2018.

We also have 2 vet nurses who graduated through MCAST, Matthew and Claudia. They joined the team in November 2015 and April 2016 respectively. Our nurses take care of our hospitalised patients, patients that are going to surgery and help to educate our clients and interns. Our receptionist Nicolette is in charge of the front of house of the clinic and is the first person that meets and greets our clients. She started working with us from December 2018.

As a clinic we aim to provide the best veterinary care for your pets. We have a vast array of diagnostic equipment at our clinic, starting from blood machines, x-ray and ultrasound. Our surgery is well equipped with monitors and gaseous anesthesia.
