We have partnered with South Korean Rescues and bring the Adoptable Puppy's/Dogs to the USA from the torture of meat dog farms in South Korea. This is not easy work and requires great efforts to ensure the safety of the pups and those at the Rescues who w

ork tirelessly to save the dogs from going through a terrible and painful death. The meat trade inflicts unimaginable pain and death, often being boiled alive. 6 years ago, I made the commitment to devote my time, energy and resources to save these wonderful souls from their terrible fate, and give them a second chance of a forever home, full of love. We are able to do this through donations and from our own pockets. The only profit we receive from this mission is looking in the eyes of the puppies that find a better life. The animals are vetted, given all required shots and are rehabilitated when needed a trainer is available. My partner Rescues will work with the dogs for 3-4 months to ensure they are healthy and well adjusted before they are given the green light to fly to the USA to a loving home. Before making the flight, they are given a final veterinarian check-up and provided with Health Certificate clearing them for the Fly 11 hour flight to Seattle, Washington. Prior to departure, they are placed in quarantine and evaluated by Korean Customs officials. When they arrive at Sea-Tac, they will pass through USA Customs, where all of their health records and other documentation are thoroughly reviewed. There are strict health and safety standards they must pass before being allowed entrance into the US. SēN Rescue Sanctuary will meet them at the airport and bring them back to our Rescue. We will monitor and quarantine them for 7 days to ensure they are eating, drinking, and are in good health. Any needed veterinary care is also provided during this time. Now, they are ready to go home with you, to their forever home.

**The Tale of the Border Collie: A Story of Intelligence and Loyalty**

Once upon a time, in the rolling hills of Scotland, a breed of dog was born that would become known as the Border Collie. Named for their origin along the borders of Scotland and England, these dogs were bred for brains and brawn, with an uncanny ability to herd sheep and a boundless energy that never seemed to wane.

One such Border Collie was named Max. Max was not just any dog; he was a testament to the true spirit of his breed. With his black and white coat, bright, intelligent eyes, and a tail that never stopped wagging, Max was a sight to behold.

Max was known far and wide for his intelligence. He could understand a multitude of commands and would often anticipate his owner's needs before they were even expressed. His problem-solving skills were second to none, often leaving people in awe of his capabilities.

But what truly set Max apart was his unwavering loyalty. He was a companion in the truest sense of the word, always there to offer comfort, companionship, and a friendly paw. His intuitive nature made him incredibly attuned to the emotions of those around him, making him a source of comfort during tough times.

Max, like all Border Collies, was also incredibly active. He loved nothing more than to run in the fields, his agile body moving like a swift breeze. His energy was infectious, often inspiring even the most couch-loving humans to get up and play.

Now, you might be thinking, "A dog like Max must be hard to handle." But the truth is, with the right care and training, Border Collies can make wonderful pets. They thrive on mental and physical stimulation, which means they love learning new tricks and going on adventures. They're also incredibly affectionate and form strong bonds with their families.

So, if you're considering adopting a dog, don't overlook the Border Collie. Yes, they're energetic and intelligent, but they're also loyal, loving, and eager to please. With the right home, a Border Collie might just become your most faithful friend.

Remember, every dog deserves a loving home, and every home deserves a loyal friend like a Border Collie.

SeN Rescue Sanctuary-
The Border Collie-
is a breed with a rich and fascinating history. Originating in the border regions of Scotland and England, these dogs have been around for more than 130 years. However, their ancestors reach back much further — to the first partnership between humans and dogs for the management of livestock.

Sally Elkus Newberry

In medieval times, shepherds’ dogs were exempt from dog taxes and were marked by their docked tails. There was some specialization among these dogs: some were drovers, some served as guards, while others were used as herders.

The name “Border Collie” was derived from its place of origin along the Anglo-Scottish border. The term “collie” is thought to come from the old Gaelic term for anything useful. Because this breed flourished in the border region, it was christened the “Border Collie”.

The Border Collie’s heritage is closely tied to the earliest development of livestock farming and the wool trade throughout the United Kingdom. The variations in type in Border Collies today are a direct result of the diverse demands of this widely spread wool trade.

One notable Border Collie was Old H**p, who was born in Northumberland, England in September 1893. Many shepherds used him for stud and H**p’s working style became the Border Collie style2. All purebred Border Collies alive today can trace an ancestral line back to Old H**p.

The breed was brought to the sheep ranches of Australia and New Zealand in the past century. Border Collies have been highly successful at herding, agility, Frisbee, and many other activities. The Border Collie was officially recognized by the AKC in 1995.

Today, Border Collies are known for their intelligence, agility, and herding skills. They are considered to be among the most intelligent dog breeds, and they excel in agility competitions. They continue to be kept mostly as working sheep-herding dogs or as companion animals.

“Tales of Tails: The Unbreakable Spirit of SeN Rescue Sanctuary”.

Once upon a time, in the lush greenery of Washington, there was a haven for dogs with souls as deep as the forests and spirits as free as the wind. This haven was known as SeN Rescue Sanctuary, a place where the most extraordinary MeatDogs found refuge and hope.

Among the many tails wagging in the sunlit meadows, there were a few who carried tales of resilience that could inspire the coldest of hearts. Wolf, the Husky with his piercing blue eyes and noble stance, was the silent guardian of the pack. He had journeyed far, from the harsh streets of South Korea to the protective embrace of the sanctuary. His story was one of survival against all odds, a testament to his indomitable will and the lineage of his breed, known for their strength and loyalty.

Elroy, the playful trickster, could make anyone laugh with his antics. He was the joy-bringer, the dog who reminded everyone that even after the darkest nights, the sun would shine again. His journey was one of transformation, from a life of uncertainty to one filled with laughter and love.

Vivian, the gentle soul, had eyes that spoke volumes. She was the heart of the sanctuary, teaching all who met her about the power of gentle kindness. Her story was one of healing, both the scars seen and those hidden deep within.

Bieun, whose name meant ‘flying’ in Korean, had a spirit that soared. He was the adventurer, always curious, always seeking. His story was one of discovery, finding joy in every new experience and sharing that joy with the world.

Andover, the wise one, carried a serene calmness that settled over the sanctuary like a comforting blanket. His story was one of wisdom, learning from the past and guiding the future with a steady paw.

Malibu, the sun-kissed beauty, had a warmth that could melt the snow. She was the nurturer, the one who brought comfort and peace to those around her. Her story was one of love, an endless well that she freely shared with all.

Each of these MeatDogs, along with many others, had a special story that intertwined with the fabric of SeN Rescue Sanctuary. They were not just dogs; they were legends, heroes in their own right, teaching humans about courage, joy, healing, adventure, wisdom, and love.

For those whose hearts are calling for a companion unlike any other, SeN Rescue Sanctuary invites you to meet these incredible beings. To schedule a moment that might just change your life, you can reach out at 360-482-0822 or [email protected]. It’s more than just a meeting; it’s a chance to become part of a story that will continue to unfold with every beat of a dog’s grateful heart. 🐕💖

SeN Rescue Sanctuary is Proud to Introduce- Vivian

"Once upon a time, in the bustling city of Seoul, South Korea, lived a Miniature Pinscher named Vivian. Vivian was not your ordinary dog. She had a past that was as harsh as it was heartbreaking. She was a meat dog, a term that sent shivers down the spine of any animal lover.

But Vivian was a survivor. Despite her past, she held an unwavering spirit and an unbreakable will. Her eyes, though they had seen unimaginable things, sparkled with kindness and love. Vivian was a very sweet girl who loved people more than anything else. She got along with other dogs but preferred human companionship. She loved to cuddle and be held, loved to sit in your lap like a baby.

Vivian’s life took a turn for the better when she was rescued and was set to travel to the United States on July 12th. She was leaving behind her past and looking forward to a future filled with love and care. Now, Vivian is ready for a family. She is ready to give and receive love, to play, to live the life she always deserved.

If you’re touched by Vivian’s story and would like to meet this brave little girl, please reach out to SeN Rescue Sanctuary at [email protected] or call 360-482-0822 to set up a meet and greet. Let’s give Vivian the loving home she deserves."

“The Silent Symphony: Advocating for Noiseless Fireworks for a More Inclusive Celebration”?

The Silent Symphony: A Call for Noiseless Fireworks
Fireworks have long been a symbol of joy and festivity. However, the loud noises associated with these celebrations can have unintended consequences. This article aims to shed light on the impact of fireworks on individuals living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and animals, and to advocate for a more inclusive solution: noiseless fireworks.

The Unseen Impact: PTSD and Fireworks
Fireworks, while a source of joy for many, can be a trigger for individuals living with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This includes not only our brave soldiers who have fought for our country but also individuals who have experienced different forms of trauma, including abuse.

The loud, unexpected noises can bring back traumatic memories, causing severe distress and anxiety. Behind closed doors, these celebratory moments can be a time of immense struggle. It’s important to remember that our celebrations can inadvertently bring pain and distress to these individuals.

A Terrifying Symphony for Animals
The fear and anxiety caused by fireworks are not exclusive to humans. Our pets and wildlife also bear the brunt of these loud celebrations. The intense noise can lead to panic and fear, resulting in injuries, and in extreme cases, even death. Both domestic pets and wild animals can exhibit signs of extreme stress such as fleeing, hiding, or self-harm.

The Quiet Revolution: Noiseless Fireworks
But there is a solution that allows us to keep our skies lit up without the accompanying noise - noiseless or quiet fireworks. These fireworks are designed to create a spectacular visual display without the loud bangs. They offer a more inclusive way to celebrate, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the spectacle without fear or distress.

Leading the Change: Case Studies
Several countries and cities around the world have recognized the need for quieter celebrations and have implemented laws for noiseless fireworks. For instance, the town of Collecchio in Italy has introduced legislation insisting on silent fireworks. In Australia, public use of fireworks is banned in all states and territories, except for the Northern Territory and Tasmania. Similarly, in Germany, cities like Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg have enforced firework-free zones.

A Call to Action: Embrace the Silent Symphony
As we conclude, let’s remember that the goal of this article is not to condemn the joy and excitement that fireworks bring to our celebrations. Instead, it’s about finding a balance, a solution that allows everyone to partake in the festivities without causing distress to others.

Noiseless fireworks present us with such a solution. They offer a way for us to continue our traditions, while also showing empathy and consideration for our veterans, our neighbors, and our animal friends.

So, what can we do as responsible citizens?

Educate Ourselves and Others: Learn more about noiseless fireworks and the benefits they offer. Share this knowledge with your friends, family, and community.
Support the Movement: Join local and online groups advocating for the use of noiseless fireworks. Your voice matters and can make a difference.
Lobby for Change: Reach out to your local representatives and urge them to consider legislation for noiseless fireworks. Remember, change often starts at the local level.
Celebrate Responsibly: If you’re hosting a celebration, consider using noiseless fireworks. Show others that it’s possible to have a fun, vibrant celebration that’s also considerate of others.
In the end, it’s about living in harmony in our shared world. It’s about adjusting our traditions in small ways to show empathy and respect for all. So, let’s embrace the silent symphony of noiseless fireworks and look forward to more inclusive celebrations.
