Phyllobates vittatus calling his little heart out! Also called the Golfodulcean poison frog, I got a small group of these last August (picked up at Daytona NRBE from Josh’s Frogs) and now they’re really finding their voice. That’s a chunky female who jumped in later after the male was calling. I’m hoping for some eggs soon!

Two Males, One Female. Whose call will reign supreme?!? One of the males is calling from atop the coconut hut, the other is sitting on a leaf. That big chubby one is the female. There’s no fighting between them, just calls to attract the lady.

What a good dad! This male “Phantasmal Poison Frog” is guarding his ladies eggs. Once they’re ready he’ll carry them on his back to a water source. Females can lay as many as 20 eggs at a time! And males can actually carry up to 10 at once on his back. This is a smaller species of dart with a beautiful call.

I honestly had no idea when making this video that I had 12 different types of Syngoniums. Now I want more! 🤫.
Syngoniums THRIVE in terrariums. They are hardy, easy to grow, easy to propagate if they get too big (just cut below a node and replant), and humidity loving. If you planted in a bioactive and see a bunch of roots in your drainage layer it’s likely from the Syngonium. If you have a plant eating animal Syngoniums should be avoided as they’re toxic to consume.
