We just wanted to give a huge shoutout to our co-breeders spottadachsfamily and Simply Sharing Love for stepping up to make sure RockinDachs can continue while we navigate my husband’s disability and first time parenthood.

Having a support system is so crucial in every area of life and we are so very grateful for ours.

Thankfully we are in a low to no risk area but many of our puppies do go to homes in high risk areas. Please make sure your vet understands the high risks of giving your dachshund a Lepto shot and if they insist make sure they will monitor your dog for any adverse reactions. Too many dachshund families lose their fur babies to this shot.

Let's talk about the Leptospirosis vaccine. I saw this posted to a fellow B.R.E.E.D.E.R page. This vaccination can be DEADLY to a dachshund and i want every pup parent to know that you are your puppy's advocate when it comes to this vaccination. You can and should refuse it. If you live in a higher Leptospirosis area I fully understand that it may need to be given to keep your baby safe but please have the vet administrator it as a stand alone vaccine and do it on a day no other vaccinations are being given. Pretreatment with Benedryl will be needed before that vaccination is given and you will need to remain at the vet office for at least 30 min before leaving. I've seen some horrible reactions and have seen people lose their pups/dogs due to this vaccination

Hey everyone! This one is a hard post but we need your help. My husband is in need of a Service Dog. As much as we love dachshunds and as much as our pack tries to help they just don’t quite meet the mobility assistance he needs. We have a go fund me set up to raise the funds to get his much needed companion. If you can at least share this post that would be incredibly helpful. If you are able to help financially (either by donating to our fund or by picking out a puppy companion) it we would be indescribably grateful.

Little slow on posting this. I guess that’s what happens with a newborn human in the home.
Brownie’s final count is five! Four handsome boys and a lovely little lady. We can’t wait to see how their coats turn out.

Brownie has decided to start off the new year with her newborns! We are expecting another big litter. Who wants to guess how many? Brownie had seven last time.

We are excited to announce that we have two upcoming winter litters! Brownie and June are expecting. We can’t wait to see what they have this time.

Introducing Scout, Miles, Journey, and Ranger! These cuties are out of Dexter and Hartley. This litter is all long haired. They are 3 weeks old and now accepting friendship applications from our followers. Their personalities are still developing but we anticipate a very cuddly litter.

Scout (male) and Journey (female) have that classic black and tan coloring that so many people love.

Miles (male) takes the classic black and tan and gives it a fun brindle twist.

Ranger (male) takes after his momma’s flashy black and tan dapple color with a splash of piebald added for extra dazzle.
