I have most of my vacation dates finalized for this year. Check out this post for the updated dates this year!

We will be fully closed next weekend February 21-23.

2025 dates of closure!

I will say this year is all a bit up in the air, so I will keep this post updated and pinned at the top. Changes are very likely to occur this year! If there’s a big change I may make a new post.

So far the only date Pawsitive Pup will be closed is February 21-23.

Destiny’s current vacation days:
April 20-27
July 27-31 (could be a full closure for a conference)
August 3-17
August 30-September 1
These dates will have limited availability and Brooke will be covering them.

Thanks everyone!

January Pups 🐾

Snowstorms, bobcat rides, and zoomies in the snow. ❄️

January was a cold, snow filled time. Fortunately the electric stayed on through all snowy weather!!

The training dogs all did so well. We had quite the variety! I am looking forward to the upcoming scheduled pups.

And a big thank you to my clients for last minute changes that occurred due to weather, I know it’s not always the most convenient. Thanks for being patient and kind!

Pawsitive Pup wouldn’t make it through winter without our trusty bobcat! We hook chains up to the tires and this machine will take us anywhere. When our hill conditions aren’t safe, this is the way we pick up/drop off your pup. Those who have dogs that have stayed with us in the winters are familiar with meeting at the bottom of the hill, but for the summer folk life is a bit easier. It’s always a new adventure for the pups on their trek up the snowy mountain. We are glad the snow from this month is melting! ❄️

Anyone else ready for spring??? 😅

Hello everyone! I wanted to provide some updates for the new year. I tried to send out an email to all clients as well, so hopefully that worked out!

2025 Updates:

• This year I will be attempting to cut out Venmo and Paypal for payments. If you are paying with card, the invoice will be sent through Honeybooks where you can pay with a card. I may be asking what your preferred method of payment is, most of you I know how you typically pay. If you'd like to switch up your payment method, please let me know before your stay so I know if I need to include a card invoice with the contract or not.

• A 3% credit card fee will now be applied to all invoices $300+. As a small business these really add up and impact my income, if you would like to avoid paying the fee you can pay with cash or check. Thank you for your understanding!

• Boarding prices will remain the same this year-holiday fees will still apply to most holidays. Check out our website for more information.

Boarding Tip: as soon as your pup(s) visit the vet this year, take a photo of their updated shot records and text them to me! This will save you time searching for or contacting the vet to share a copy with me.

Over the last month we fostered a puppy from Little Victories. Hank was recovering from a leg amputation and needed a place to heal. We loved our time with this boy, but we are so happy to say he’s found his furever home!!

During his stay, he became best buds with my tripod Trip. They did everything together, having three legs sure didn’t slow them down!

Love a good story with a happy ending! Thank you for everything you all do for the rescues in our area! 🐾

Happy first birthday to my three legged angel pup (or the day we’ve chosen for him 🤣), my little pinto bean, Trip!

Trip was my foster puppy from Little Victories and he stole my heart the second I saw his photo. This fella makes me so happy! The amount of sleeping photos I have of him is ridiculous. He’s added so much to our lives this year, we love him! 🐾 ♥️

A little about me

Hello and thank you for viewing my page!

I, Destiny Stratton, wanted to share some information about myself for those who may not know me. I have had a passion for animals my entire life and knew they would be part of my career choice. I started my path at Mars Hill University and received my bachelors degree in Zoology. My original plan was to work as a zookeeper, which I accomplished when I moved to Alaska for a year and worked as an animal keeper there. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much. Alaska gave me my first exposure to animal training where I began to train Alaskan native animals for behaviors that would benefit them for veterinary check ups and just their overall well-being. This is when I learned the amazing benefits training could have on the relationship with you and the animal and I knew this is something I wanted to continue. After leaving Alaska I wanted to expanded my training knowledge, but this time with the focus on dogs. I attended National K-9 School for Dog Trainers in Ohio and learned about the amazing things dogs are capable of doing and how to accomplish the goals one has for their dog. Dog training is definitely a process, but it can have a huge impact on your life with your dog and better your dog’s life. I have fallen in love with dog training and want to share my knowledge with others. I am a Certified Professional Trainer, so let me help you and your dog out! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. I offer a free evaluation with you and your dog where we can discuss issues you may be having, your goals for your dog, and how we can accomplish those goals. I look forward to helping you out!
