Extremely urgent. They just received an enormous amount of dogs from a hoarding situation and desperately need volunteers/fosters. Please contact the shelter immediately if you can help.

Hello friends, it is with a heavy heart that we share we have reached overcapacity within our shelters system-wide. With numbers exceeding more than 1,000 dogs, we are running dangerously low on kennel space at all four locations. Our hearts ache for each and every dog waiting for a loving home, and we are overwhelmed with the urgent need to find them safe, forever families.

Please, friends, we need your help! This problem cannot be resolved without the compassion and support of our community. Consider opening your heart and home to a shelter pet or spreading the word to others who can help. Together, we can make a difference and ensure these deserving animals find the love and care they need. Every adoption saves a life and makes room for another in need. Let’s come together and be the heroes these animals desperately need.

🩵 Hi guys, Willis here! I am still at the shelter waiting patiently for my forever home. My story was a happy one, until my Dad fell on hard times. 🥹. No one in his family wanted me and they dropped me at a high-risk shelter. Lucky for me, Joshua Tree No-Kill Shelter saved me in the nick of time!

💕 The thing is, I am not a spring chicken anymore. But I am a really happy guy with lots of energy! Maybe when our volunteer dog walks resume, you can come take me for a walk and see for yourself? You can’t miss me! I am the adorable Dachshund with one blue eye! 🩵
