Update on the girls reintroduction again!

I have decided that Roxana is a sooky bum for life. Lol. She still gets upset and hisses at Blue sometimes. If Blue is asleep with me Roxana will just stare at me and then walk away and ignore me for ages 🤣 (Don't worry she gets plenty of attention from me lol!). They can definitely co exist peacefully, there's been many bum sniffs, one mutual mouth lick after a treat, and a few times relaxing near each other. Half the time they walk past each other without a hiss or a look and other times one thinks the other is just evil and they must immediately exit 🤣🤣🤣

Thankfully for the most part they have relaxed. Blue now no longer seems on edge around Roxana and kind of jist looks at her like cmon man, let's just play when Roxanas had a hissy fit moment lol. When they have played Roxana gets caught up in the moment has fun, then gets too close to Blue, craps herself and legs it away from her lol.

Roxana the Maine C**n loves being snuggled in her sleep. She doesn't like laying on top of us, or even sitting in your lap, but if she's asleep she loves when I scoop her up and lay on her. She stayed like this with my daughter for ages 🤣🤣

1. Zanna asleep looking sooooo adorable. *goes to pat her*
2. Blue wants in on action and Zanna hears her rustling around.
3 & 4. Blue jumps up. Zanna was unimpressed and gave a hiss. Blue bailed.
5. Zanna sits up and looks at me like seriously? Lol.

Another update on the reintroduction of these 2.

Roxana (Zanna) is still, yes, STILL, sooking lol. But for the most part they are fine. Zanna loves to play, just not with Blue, and Blue just wants to play with Zanna. So there's still some hissing from Zanna and sulking when Blue is playing and she refuses to join. Actually it's so funny but she's so stubborn lol

But they definitely are co existing pretty well. I do still seperate them when noone is home, as I am worried Blue will be too in her face. Thankfully she is smart and learning when Zanna is resting to just leave her alone lol.

Both girls slept right near each other again yesterday ❤️

Re-introduction update! (Remember these girls lived together for years lol!)

This melted my heart the other day. Roxana was dead to the world and Blue, who is desperate to play with Roxana, took the opportunity lol. She jumped up, laid down next to her. Zanna was so sleepy she welcomed it, put her paw out and they had a good little snuggle while I had a little photo shoot lol.

Then... 2 minutes later Zanna woke up, horrified, had a hiss and ran away 😂😂😂😂😂 get over yourself zanna, you sooky baby lol.

Small steps though. Roxana still has her nose out of joint sometimes and is horrified that another cat exists yet other times they boop noses and have a 2 second play. They are still in seperate areas of the house over night and if noones home, for their own well being ❤️😍

I love these girls so much ❤️

Taking the re-introduction of these girls slowly so that we can have 2 happy cats :)

Surprisingly today Roxana decided to get curious about the outdoor area and had the confidence to use the cat flap that leads to the tunnel. She has spent most of her day out there. Blue Skies is more apprehensive and went out some with coaching. I left the flap open a tiny little bit and helped boost her confidence. Both girls were out there a lot of the day with no dramas.

Well, a hiss here and there from Zanna but I think Blue just likes to push boundaries still as she's happy to retreat and Zanna is happy to just be indifferent for the most part. We have had Blue for 1 week today :)

This makes me so happy ❤️

The gate im still using as a barrier between the 2 girls, when Roxana seems to get a bit stressed out. Surprisingly they don't jump it 😂😂 (I'm lucky because they most definitely can !!)

They are getting along a lot better but no unsupervised time together yet just because Blue just wants to play and Zanna id a grumpy old meanie who likes to hiss 😂😂

They've had a few sniffs and can comfortably be near each other now.

Getting the energy out before bed 😂❤️🙏

The enclosure for the girls was explored today! They are still a bit tense and Zanna is still a bit of a hissy girl. But for the most part they are fine. Blue wants to play, Zanna is still unsure so will make it known so Blue retreats. Still lots of supervision at the moment. The outdoor area needs a couple small things and they can have free access to it during the day. I wanted them both introduced to the enclosure at the same time so one doesn't try and claim it as their own. Zanna still blocked the access tunnel 🙄😂❤️ #mainecooncat #mainecoon #cat

Giving Roxana some sweet cuddles and pats as she is feeling a bit stressed. Turn the volume up to hear my 12yo come in and offer reassurance about the cats naww 🥹😍❤️ 2 sweet girls ❤️🙏

A sleepy girl, fighting sleep, some belly rubs and off she went ❤️😍 love her purr ❤️ She is absolutely beautiful. We all love you so much Roxana 😍🥹

Finally got her jumping on record!

This was new and I wanted to see what she would do 😂 she has not sat with anybody eating yet and so I sat down solo today with scrambled egg and ham on toast, and Zanna joined me. She pawed at my plate and I thought she was after the ham for sure but she nibbled on the eggs instead lol Funny girl
