I had a lot of fun on this stinky little pony today. He worked pretty good on not grabbing the bit and running through my leg. He also got lots of direction changes and leg yielding until he stopped fighting and just accepted the contact. He gave me a lot of try on the leg yield and I am so happy with how well he did!

Chase is such a good boy. He’s been hanging heavy on my right rein for some time. Today we changed it up and I spent more time getting him going forward onto the bit without bracing. Once we had accomplished that we started on some lateral work to keep him bending and staying soft.

I’m pretty happy with how ritz performed today! I rode him Thursday as well and both days were spent working on changing his bend. He is very tight and stiffens up everytime we start. I worked him through a lot of serpentines and practiced his leg yield as well to get him softer.

Remi was fantastic this weekend!

We did some pole work and jumping and she did great with the striding. She really seemed to enjoy it too. We also practiced opening gates, pivots, side passing, and the l back through obstacles. She was calm and relaxed and did them all so well.

Her flat work was great. She listened nicely for all the transitions and was balanced throughout the gaits. We didn’t have much leaning either. Her leg yield was nice.

I’m so so happy with how she’s been doing!

Chase has done great this weekend as well. We’ve been working on the lead changes and I’m happy to report that he changed clean both directions today without bucking with the effort (he’s opinionated sometimes!). He’s doing well and trying hard with them.
