Roan finished her Championship title today pending AKC approval at the National Capital Kennel Club in West Friendship MD.

What a week for Roan…

August 23 Roan received her Certificate of Eligibility for Novice class to compete in the 10th AKC Obedience Classic.
Only 15 Chesapeakes were invited for the Novice Class.

August 24 and 25 at the Northern Neck Kennel Club of Virginia ,
Both days Roan went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Breed.

August 26 at the Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club , Roan went Winners bitch and Best of Winners.

August 27 at the Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club , Roan went Winners bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Breed.

Shortly after leaving the show ring on Sunday, Roan passed her two evaluation tests for her AKC Temperament Test. Pending AKC approval, she will
have another title; ATT.

All events were held at Meadow Event Park, which was the original Meadow farm and home to Riva Ridge and Secretariat.

August 29 , Roan will celebrate being 15 months old! Yes .. I think we will have a party!!

This weekend at the Rappahannock River Hunting Retriever Club’s inaugural hunt test, Roan earned two passes towards her SHR title.

A special thanks to my son Thomas Montague for his help on Saturday.
Thomas stepped up to help the club as an unscheduled volunteer. He did everything under the sun to help the club!

An awesome start to the Memorial Day weekend…

On Saturday at the Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac hunt test held in Re*****on Virginia,
Shamrock Secrets of Roan Inish CGC TKN FDC BN CD ( Chesastar Hudson Bay x DeCoca’s Irish Lass) earned her Junior Hunt title.

On Sunday, Roan went back and earned another Junior pass.

Both days she received wonderful compliments from the judges.

Thank you to the club, landowners (Neil Selby and Leslie Carter), Judges and the many volunteers for putting on a wonderful yet challenging tests.

Earned her Farm Dog Certification Title ( FDC) today at the Gentle Giant Draft Horse Rescue, Mt. Airy Maryland. The event was hosted by the Carroll Kennel Club.

At the Greater Washington Bouvier de Flanders Club 3 day AKC Obedience and Rally trial held in Glen Allen Virginia, Shamrock Secrets of Roan Inish CGC TKN ( Chesastar Hudson Bay x DeCocoa’s Irish Lass ) earned two titles; BN and CD( AKC pending).

Friday, Roan earned her first leg in Novice B with the highest score in the class as well as earning her third leg and title in Beginner Novice B.

Saturday, Roan earned her second leg in Novice B as well as second place in the class.

Sunday, Roan earned her third leg and title in Novice B. She received second place in the class as well as second highest score in all obedience classes.

After each day of competition, Roan was able to relax and retrieve bumpers at the show grounds pond.

Thank you to the 2 judges , Ken and Aimee Kincaid, the club and the hosting grounds.

In weather that only classic Chesapeakes and ducks enjoy, Shamrock Secrets of Roan Inish CGC TKN ( Chesastar Hudson Bay x DeCoca’s Irish Lass) earned her second and third passes towards her Junior Hunt title at Back Bay Knotts Island hunt test held in Re*****on Virginia.

Thank you to the four Junior Judges and all the volunteers for the hard work.

Shamrock Secrets of Roan Inish had a fabulous weekend of obedience and conformation at the American Chesapeake Club support entry at the Maryland Sporting Dog Show.

Incredibly proud of this just 9 month old pup!

Her accomplishments :

Friday: Beginner Novice B qualified with a score of 185

Saturday: 9-12 month Winner
Winner’s Reserve
Beginner Novice B crashed and burned with lessons learned

Sunday: 9-12 month Second Place
Attended and awarded Bird Dog at the Bird Instinct Clinic
Beginner Novice B qualified and first place with a score of 196.5 which earned the Highest Scoring Chesapeake Bay Retriever in a regular class.
