✅️ First Area Festival scores in! ✅️

Great day representing at Northallerton Equestrian Centre BD.

We thankfully missed the rain! Must have been a good omen as Thistle pulled out 2 super tests.

We started with E40, lovely comments from the judge about the presentation of the test. Unfortunately I misheard Ian when he said free walk to V sadly I heard E 🤣 costing us 2 marks and the win, but the main thing is we got 66.13% and our first Area Festival score and a 2nd place.

Next was M69 which isn't the test we would pick for Thistle but he smashed it felt so much more confident in his ability for a clear round and 66.82% a win and another score for the Area Festivals!

Spark is returning!

P.S Thank you to Ian Brown, Millie Blake, Katie, and Lou for coming alone and supporting. Great job Katie Blackett And Lou Charlton on your tests too!

✌🏻 Petplan Equine Area Festivals Day 2 ✌🏻

After a bit of a sombering day yesterday, I wanted to put that behind us and move forward with a new day!

Pleased to report that we did! 66.62% and 14th out of 38. Super chuffed as I felt I really let Ronnie down yesterday, I went for more fluency and less power today, and I think that really made the overall picture better.

Massive thank you to everyone who has given me a hand at these championships. Going solo isn't always the easiest, but it just shows how amazing the Horsey community is!

A couple of weeks having some hacking and easy sessions, then to look at entering the Forces Equine associated championships.

❤️ Petplan Area Festival Day 1 ❤️

Not the best day on paper. I thought he felt great at times he was a little too keen! But sadly, judges didn't agree 😕 I did let him down by going wrong 😔 but wouldn't have made much of a difference.

I can't be too disappointed, really, considering we didn't have the greatest prep for these championships. We still achieved 63.33% and would've been over 64% if I hadn't gone wrong.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disheartened but got the rest of today and tomorrow to get my mind back in the game.

Onwards and upwards.

🥹 Proud as Punch! 🥹

I'm am so proud of my little baby pony!! Lots of firsts achieved yesterday!

✅️ First time travelling in a 7.5t lorry
✅️ First time in the ring
✅️ First time loading away from home
✅️ First time being plaited
✅️ First time having his legs washed

And he just took it all in his stride!

We decided to get there early to walk him round and settle. Unfortunately, in the warm-up, not everyone was very courteous of a youngster, so we wandered around the car park instead, and he began to settle so much better.

Both classes he trotted up beautifully 😍 struggled to stand for long periods of time, but that's fair enough.

Came away with 2 2nds 🥈🥈.

Thank you to Nathan Buchanan Croall and Vicki Brown for coming along a being great wagon nannies for Flint whilst I drove.

🇬🇧 UKAFEC Day 1 🇬🇧

What a day! Who thought being on the organisation committee and riding was a good idea 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️.

We kicked the show off with the 75cm restricted class. He was on fire 🔥! Flew round and pinging over them like there was no tomorrow! We are never going to be ones for speed, but we did our turns to come away with a 2nd!! Thank you so much to for the numnah and goody bag!

Then, a quick turnaround for M71 was probably not his best test, but we still achieved 64.51% and another 2nd place! Winning a lovely bucket of gifts from .

Finally, we stole Ronnie's music and floor plan for the FSM class. He was super much better than his first test to get 70.16% and a win! 🏆 And lovely new pair of gloves from !

Great to see old faces and some new ones too! Now it's time for a drink 🍸 🤪

❤️‍🩹 William Update ❤️‍🩹

It's been a while since I last updated you all on the main man, William!

After a few weeks of box rest, he is now out 24/7, living the life of a true Native Pony!

He is pretty much sound now as well, but we are still going to give him a bit longer before we think about getting back on board.

So Mr William is doing well and is a happy chappy!
