Structure, Movement & Pedigrees Seminar by Dr. Carmen Battaglia
CIKC is excited to host a seminar put on by Dr. Carmen Battaglia on Structure, Movement & Pedigrees! Dr. Battaglia is a well-respected AKC judge, a Director of the American Kennel club and many more prestigious positions! He gained worldwide recognition most notably for developing his "Breeding Better Dogs." We are excited to have him and it will be an opportunity you don't want to miss out on! This seminar will be held Friday, January 17th starting at 6PM and we expect it to run for about 2 hours! Food & beverage will be offered for the in-person event. Thank you Bev Klingensmith for these lovely photos at our fun match June 22nd! We had about 30 dogs entered and also Bev CGC tested another 9 others with several Trick dogs as well! We were so excited for the great turnout and are looking forward to offering a future fun match so keep an eye out!

🐾Parade of Veterans - Bring your dog who is 7+ for their chance to run around the ring again! 🐾
🐾 Entries: Non-AKC CHs allowed only, UKC/IABCA CHs are allowed. Classes: Puppy 6-12 months, Open (Above 12 months)
Building opens at 9:30 and match will start at 10:30. Just plan on entering when you get there! We will be having a potluck style lunch after judging finishes so please plan on staying & joining us - CIKC will provide a meat option! Please bring a chair and there is plenty of space for crating inside!

Today is National Pet Disaster Preparedness day! CIKC members had a great time in Colfax, IA at the debut of the first AKC ReUnite Pet Disaster Relief Trailer for Iowa. The trailer is sponsored by Jasper and Poweshiek County Emergency Management Agencies, Grinnell College, and the Central Iowa Kennel Club. We had a special guest drop by with her family and dogs, Samantha Fett, Fett for House.

MWLRC spring Labrador specialty shows are coming up fast March 30 & 31, 2024! The shows close in less than 30 days @ March 13, 2023. Please join us for our 3rd spring specialty shows in Central Iowa. We are working hard to put on a very nice show.
The shows are located at the Jasper County Fairground in Colfax, Iowa. Colfax is a very short drive east of Des Moines which is a short drive from Omaha, Kansas City, and Minneapolis at the intersection of interstate 35 & 80. The show site is only 1/2 mile south of interstate 80.
Get your entries in at Executive dog shows www.executivedogshows.com . If you are planning on coming to the shows, and you bring a donation to the show raffle, you will receive 5 free tickets to the raffle.
