Dogs are an investment not just financially, but they also require a lot of our time. If you don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on a trainer there’s a ton of free and valuable content out there to help teach you how to train your dog. Some of my recommendations are

🐶 Happy Training!
Say hello to Pepper! He is in my behavior modification camp. He has a sweet smile, but a spicy attitude. He resource guards objects and bites people. We have a lot of work to do, but so far he’s doing absolutely wonderful with his engagement & obedience training.
I’m happy to announce that my business In-Line K9 Academy won Reno’s Best Pet Trainer of 2024!
I’m happy to announce that my business In-Line K9 Academy won Reno’s Best Pet Trainer of 2024!
Winning 2 years in a row is extremely humbling and I’m so grateful that I have had the privilege to work with so many amazing people and their beloved dogs.
I wasn’t able to attend the ceremony to accept my award because the event coordinators were incredibly unorganized and didn’t have a ticket for me to go 😣
But hey, hopefully they get better at making sure the nominees have a ticket for future events😅
I want to thank God above and my parents because if it weren’t for them, none of this would be possible.
Cheers to another year of helping dogs & their people! ❤️🐶🙏
LETS GO!
Group class was so fun today, everyone did a fantastic job around all of the crazy holiday distractions!👏❤️🐶🎄#sparksgalleria #nevada #dogtraining
You don’t need to have a bad dog in order for them to be professionally trained. Mac is a sweet pup that just needed some fundamentals instilled. He went from being a good dog, to a GREAT dog! 💛
Professional training is worth every Penny!
Harlo the Great Dane graduated yesterday! He used to be extremely dog reactive and out of control when he saw dogs in public. He would pull, lunge, growl, and jump while on a leash. His owner couldn’t safely walk him. Even though his reactivity isn’t completely gone, they now have a good foundation to stand on. Building confidence with him & his owner has given them hope and has opened up opportunities they never thought were possible. 🐕🦺🖤
Everyone did an absolutely fantastic job at group class today! I am so very proud of each and every one of you and very grateful to be a part of your training journey 🥹🐾🐶♥️
Bella is deaf, but did you know that deaf dogs can learn just as easily as regular dogs? Her previous owners set up an appointment to have her euthanized because they were at their wits end with her uncontrollable behaviors. She was always on a leash, would consistently run away from them, and they had to corner her in order to capture her. If you could imagine Bella lived in a constant state of fear due to no clear guidance or communication from her humans. Her life was very limited. Her new owners that rescued her contacted me for help because they too were struggling, but had hope. Though she cannot hear, she can feel, so we conditioned her to the ecollar and that it means to pay attention. We did not use the tool to correct, in fact, the level of stimulus she feels we humans cannot feel. The way Bella now perceives the world is night and day. She’s happy, confident, content, actively engaging with the handler, and has more freedoms to be.. a dog! The ecollar has allowed all of this to be possible. And now because of ecollar training she gets to live a fulfilled life full of joy and happiness. We are so happy for Bella & grateful that we were part of her training journey💛
Jiri is one of the most intense yet absolutely incredible dogs I’ve ever trained. His human and dog aggression is something that will always need to be managed due to genetics. Making sure his owner has impeccable control, strong leadership skills, and clear communication is essential to set this dog (or any dog for that matter) up for success.
P.S. NEVER allow your dog to be pet by strangers, this was just a test in a controlled situation under the supervision of professionals. We do expect our dogs to be neutral around people/dogs, but not to physically interact with them.
Buddy and Fred having some off leash fun! The best thing about reliable recall is that anywhere is your “dog park.”
You don’t have to gamble your dog’s safety and well being by going to a fenced in boxing ring that’s infiltrated with disease and ignorant owners.
P.S. NEVER take your dog to a dog park! ☣️🦠🤮
Buddy used to have an issue marking (peeing) on everything everywhere he went. His owner certainly couldn’t take him into a store without an accident or two. After a few timely corrections and proper management, he has not had an accident since day 3 of his program! Yes, corrections are an essential piece to the puzzle if you are trying to eliminate an unwanted behavior. Anyone that tells you otherwise has no idea what they are talking about and live in a fantasy world. As long as you are being clear with your communication, I would say that 95% (or more) of your day is reward/positive based. Way to go, Buddy!
Relationship first, training second 💙
It’s imperative to create engagement with your dog around distractions if you expect them to pay attention and listen to your guidance when needed. Not only is it healthy for your relationship, but the control you have allows more freedoms for you and your pup!
That one time my close friends and I got to sing happy birthday to @janegoodallinst at the @uswolfrefuge_official
The homemade cake from Barbara was delicious too.
So grateful for my tribe
P.S. Please pay no attention my wonderful singing voice 😅
♥️
It’s been a hot minute so we’re a bit rusty, but Odin had a good time getting back on the dance floor! @lupin_k9 #protectionpup #dogtraining #dancefloor
