Meet Coco! She’s might be little but she is bursting with so much happiness. She is such a special character and will make anyone’s day a lot brighter. Due to her bad start in life she has deformed back legs but it doesn’t faze her at all and she can run as fast as a greyhound if she wants to! Coco makes such a big impression on everyone she meets and she’s adored by all of the kennel staff. She loves cuddles and belly rubs (and sprats!). She really deserves a loving home after everything she’s been though.

Maggy is the black and white cat and despite having kittens she’s still just a baby herself. She has 3 black kittens of her own who are aged around 6 weeks. Little Maggy is also looking after 2 older grey and white kittens who are about 8 weeks old. The black kittens will be ready to go in a couple of weeks but the grey ones are ready now.
They’re a lovely family who get on so well together. They haven’t been with us long so they’re still getting used to us and all of the new noises and people. They’re always playing with each other and they’re becoming more inquisitive by the day! Maggy is so sweet, she loves attention and I’m sure she would be a cuddly cat once she’s settled into a house.
They will be fully vaccinated, wormed, flead and neutered ready for their new homes 🏠

Today is the first day of World Animal Remembrance Month. This is a month dedicated to the memories of all animals who are no longer with us. Spend some time today to remember animal family members you have lost as well as heroic animals and animals lost through tragedy and abuse.

Nellie went to her new home a couple of weeks ago. She settled in so quickly that she is already out exploring the garden! I’m sure she will be making the most of the warm weather over the weekend. ☀️

Lenny was a stray from Scunthorpe, he wasn’t claimed so he’s searching for a lovely home. When he first came in he was quite nervous but suddenly he began to trust us and now his loving personality really shines through. He is incredibly sweet, loves sitting on knees and doesn’t mind being groomed. He is much more settled when meeting new people too. I absolutely adore him and he will make the most amazing pet for someone. I have previously posted his advert before but he’s changed so much since then I thought he needed a new one!! Ellie is a super gentle girl who would make a lovely family cat. She enjoys sitting on knees and having snuggles. She also loves Dreamies treats (like most of our cats!). She’s very relaxed and doesn’t mind being carried around. She isn’t living with any other cats at the moment but based on her personality I’m sure she would be fine living with others. She deserves a home with unlimited snuggles and lots of love.

Mishka came to us early this year and she was quickly adopted. Despite the efforts made by her new owners, she didn’t get on with their original cats and they had to make the difficult decision to bring her back. She’s a little cat with a big heart and loves attention from anyone. She’s a typical chatty bengal and you can always pick her out in the cattery! Mishka will be much happier in an only cat home where she can relax and be herself.
She’s fully vaccinated, wormed, flead and neutered.

CURLY TAIL + LOUIE 🐈
These two came in as part of group who were handed over by their owner as they were struggling with the number of cats. They are both young cats probably about 2 years old. They’ve lived with a medium sized dog and the owner said they all got along.
Louie, the grey, is incredibly friendly, loves attention and sitting on knees. He is such a happy cat it causes him to drool! Curly tail is a lovely girl and is named after her distinctive tail. She really enjoys exploring the cattery and getting attention from the kennel staff. Hopefully I will have chance to get some videos of them both soon to show off their lovely personalities.

Lenny was a stray from Scunthorpe, he wasn’t claimed so he’s searching for a loving home. He needs an owner with plenty of time as he takes a while to trust people but once he knows you he’s a lovely boy, the videos show his true self. For a while with me he would be very reserved and would hiss at me but I could still stroke him, once he realised I wasn’t a threat he turned into a different cat! I absolutely adore him and he will make the best cat for the right person. ❤️

ETTA + MARLIN 🐈 - PLEASE SHARE

This lovely pair came in recently due to no fault of their own. They’re both such sweet cats and are a pleasure to be around. Marlin the ginger cat has an injury near his back but it causes him no problems, it has been vet checked and it’s healing nicely. They are very friendly so they would be good living with gentle children. Etta loves snuggling up in her bed it’s not very often you find her anywhere else in the morning! Marlin on the other hand is the more outgoing one of the two, nothing seems to phase him. They make the perfect pair as they get on so well together ❤️

Elsie is a lovely cat who was handed over by her owners as they had to move and were unable to take her with them. She’s incredibly fussy and loves attention from anyone. She currently lives with Minnie and there’s an occasional hiss as they’re still getting to know eachother but no aggression so she will be fine living with another cat. She hasn’t lived with dogs before but as she’s very friendly and young I’m sure she would get used to having a dog around very quickly.
She doesn’t mind being picked up and carried and according to her previous owner she travels well. She’s fully litter trained, microchipped, flead and wormed. She will also be neutered ready for her new home.

Archie is a big cat with a big personality. Archie was taken in by an individual as a stray and then brought to us as he bit the person. Since he’s been with us he has become much less aggressive but he would be better suited as a yard cat or a house where he has lots of roaming space and things to do. His sudden aggression comes from his very hyperactive nature and potentially from his past, it’s possible that in the right home he calms down a lot more. He’s fine when he’s wandering around and playing it’s more when he’s being stroked a lot but this has improved.
He’s bursting with personality and he’s become a much loved cat among the staff. He really enjoys playing with toys, he even tries to steal Lenny’s toys from next door! He absolutely loves Dreamies too. He isn’t suitable to live with children and could do with an experienced cat owner who understands his personality.
He’s fully litter trained, wormed, flead and vaccinated.

These sweet kittens aren’t quite ready for their new homes just yet but they can be reserved. They’re both very healthy and are eating well, they are also fully litter trained. They are slightly nervous simply due to them not being handled as much as they would be in a home environment but with time they will settle in very well. They can be rehomed together or separately.
They will be microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and flead ready for their new homes. As they are too young to be neutered, the new owner will get a voucher to cover the costs when they’re old enough.

Please can anyone help us find a home for Teddy? His owner genuinely is ill and cannot give him the care he needs. She is absolutely broken hearted at having to give him up. Below is the information given by his current owner.
Breed: Red Lakeland Terrier
Age: 2 years old
S*x: Male (Neutered)
Food: James Wellbeloved small breed kibble
Fully vaccinated, flead and wormed: Yes
Teddy is super intelligent so he needs a lot of stimulation and loves long daily walks is excellent off lead in fields, woodland etc. He has good recall but is traffic shy. He hates sudden movements and loud noises but is a good house dog and alerts me, but will cease barking as soon as I give the command ‘no bark’.
He is in his element on car journeys, he sits in a dog booster seat with a safety harness, he loves to be in the front as he enjoys seeing what’s around but is well behaved if in the rear.
I normally would walk at least 5 miles a day with him across fields, meadows and woodland, he loves to be able to run. Very obedient and biddable and loves pleasing so makes it simple to teach him and being highly motivated by treats helps! He was rescued at 6 months old and came to me quite traumatised. He’s totally house trained and is very well behaved and has no issues being alone in the house and can leave him to roam freely with no problems, though I do have a mail box as he will sn**ch anything that comes through a letterbox and attack it, I was concerned for peoples fingers, hence the box.
He loves puzzle toys and interactive activities. He gets grumpy when tired and will growl if you try to move him, typical terrier!! He has issues with feet under covers or up on furniture, he will growl and jump up and move away. He hates being hugged makes him growl. He will occasionally come and lay next to me on the sofa but can be temperamental even though he’s made the decision to come for a fuss. He has never bitten but he growls and moves away, clearly he’s just very nervous about what may happen. I always say his name before petting him as he jumps when not expecting to be touched, but then who wouldn’t, I think it’s just respectful to warn.
He’ll sleep alone downstairs or in his bed in the bedroom, he won’t sleep on a bed due to his issues with hidden feet moving. He had infected a**l glands last year and vet emptied them with no sedation, he now is not keen on being touched in that area. He is fine when playing with him but has issues when he’s resting or if the vet goes there. During the period of infected a**l glands he had 3 seizures. That was last November/December. He has not been prescribed medication and has not had any more seizures.
Loves other dogs and enjoys play dates but I personally think he is happier being an only dog at home. Great with people and children as long as they don’t hug him which children want to do because he looks like a teddy bear, but he isn’t suitable for a home with children because of him not liking being touched when resting and being nervous with loud noises and sudden movements.
With time and work I’m convinced some of these issues could be improved, he needs someone who has a good knowledge of terrier personalities and experience in dealing with dogs who have behaviour problems. When I got him at 6 months old he was a traumatised pup but has made huge improvements but room for more.
Gets hand stripped very regularly and the groomer says he copes ok, gets a bit growly but they know him and his issues and how to handle this, can’t be too bad as he always gets very excited when we arrive in the car park!
There’s always something you can do to help your local rescue animals even if you can’t adopt!

This lovely old lady who was found in Grimsby but microchipped to an address in Sheffield still hasn’t been claimed. We are now looking for a retirement home for her. She’s in good health for her age. She is very active and lively and can do anything a younger cat can. Minnie has the most lovely nature, she’s incredibly gentle and friendly. She is good with other cats too. She is a favourite among the staff! She loves to chase reflections from watches, so a laser light toy will definitely be an essential in her future home.
The RSPCA will pay any vet bills related to her slightly older age. She is fully wormed, flead, vaccinated and microchipped ready for her new home. She’s also litter trained. Her adoption fee is a donation as she’s an older cat.
