8 little Labrador x Cattle puppies were left at the vet clinic in St George Qlld.
We have agreed to help, however we need 3 things
1- We need a transport angel to go on a road trip tomorrow and collect them. We will cover fuel costs.
2– foster carers for them to stay with, preferably in pairs.
3- donations to help towards their transport, medical and food costs.

🚨URGENT CALL FOR A FOSTER CARER 🚨

We need to find a foster carer for Tino by tomorrow morning.⏳

This beautiful boy was scheduled to be euthanised at a vet clinic by his owners today. Thankfully, we’ve managed to buy him some time, but if we cannot find him a safe place to stay by tomorrow, his owners plan to return to the vet to proceed.

The vet staff describe Tino as a super sweet and lovely boy—he deserves a chance at life and love.

Time is critical. If you can open your home and heart to Tino, even temporarily, please get in touch immediately. Sharing this post could help save his life.

TRIGGER STACKING – WHEN BEHAVIOUR HAPPENS “OUT OF THE BLUE”

We’ve all had those days when nothing seems to go right and one frustrating thing after another happens to us, leaving us feeling wound up, stressed and ready to explode at the next unsuspecting person who dares to ask us something.

This “unsuspecting” person may think we have a serious behaviour problem or need anger management therapy, when the truth is that we’ve just had a really bad day or even a few bad days and don’t usually behave like this at all.

Dogs are no different and a behaviour that seems completely out of character or happens “out of the blue” is often caused by “trigger stacking”.

A trigger may be anything that increases a dog’s stress levels and has a negative impact on their emotional, mental or physical state.

These may be small things that we may not even notice or seem insignificant to us, but they are all adding to an increasing “stack” of events that may culminate in out of character behaviour.

When stress levels reach a certain point, the next stressful event, however small, may cause an explosive reaction that is completely unexpected.

Instead of just focusing on a particular behaviour and seeing it as a problem that needs to be prevented, take a step backwards, look at the bigger picture, look at events, circumstances or environmental factors that may have played a role leading up to that behaviour.

Being aware of potential stressors and allowing your dog time to decompress, relax and unwind for a few days will often mean the difference between “normal behaviour” and a behaviour that seems completely out of character.

‼️FOSTER CARERS NEEDED‼️
These dogs are all in a country Qld pound and are needing help by the weekend. We havent posted dogs in urgent need for some time, these dogs need our help.

1. Rosko approx. 2 years old - Been impounded 4 times now due to no fencing at house 🙁 his owners do not really care too much about him. Very friendly – not aggressive at all around other dogs or people.

2. Lance - This guy is a nice dog – no aggression – friendly – not aggressive around food, well behaved around other dogs. Approx 1-2 years old. Found straying.

3. 🐾SAFE 🐾Cosmo - Young Kelpie under 12 months. She is chipped to breeder. Quiet and lovely natured

4. Garry kelpie cross, about 15 months old, he’s a tall boy, has been on one trial on a farm but didn’t work, he has a lovely nature but does need training, plays well with other dogs, he’s a big goof ball really, still only a baby .

❗️Mini's Bulldog Rescue is temporarily closed until further notice ❗️
This is due to the huge number of bulldogs already in our care, the lack of adopters, the lack of foster carers, and the overwhelming number of new requests for help every single day from pounds and private surrender requests.

Rescues like MBRC cannot take anymore. Pounds and shelters are overflowing, there are dogs dying everyday as a result. But dogs continue to be surrendered and dumped. We are volunteers and we cannot keep up.

We have no other option than to put some of the current bulldogs into kennels. This costs $$ that MBRC doesn’t have, and in turn this is delaying vet care for a bulldog currently in our care who needs it. And this isn’t an option beyond the short-term.

There is a saying - a problem shared is a problem halved. On a wing and a prayer we are crying out for help.
