Tonight we head to Ladbrokes Gardens to contest a heat of the Group Two BlackTop with Ali Tango.
Your local cup races are always a bit special so hopefully Rosco can put his best foot forward. The boys from the morning line on Sky Racing did a preview of his race and had this to say about his chances.
Best of luck to connections who will be making the trip up from Sydney to watch their boy contest his first group series.
Ali Tango makes it four in a row.
Ali Tango (Box 3) made it four wins on the bounce last night at Wentworth Park Greyhounds jumping cleanly he showed nice speed to lead through the first turn and managed to hang on and win in 30.11.
Special thanks to Michael Phillips and Corey Lowe for handling the dogs while I'm out of play with the man flu (it's a terrible thing)
And a big congratulations to owners Trent Freeman and Jerome Ballard they're having so much fun with their boys at the moment, it's a real joy to see how much they love their racing.
Bullet brings up win 20.
Belmont Bullet (Box 8) brought up win 20 yesterday at Ladbrokes Gardens after bombing the start and finding himself last early he circled the field to win running away in BOD 22.73.
For a dog that does his best work in front it's a testament to how hard this dog chases being able to come from behind as well. He's now had 66 starts for 20 wins and 24 placings, you'd love a kennel full like him.
Ali Tango makes it three in a row.
Ali Tango (Box 5) made it three wins on the spin last night at Ladbrokes Gardens stepping up to FFA company for the first time and handling it with ease winning by 8 lengths, we almost got the quinella with the old boy Belmont Bullet getting grabbed on the line to finish third. That makes it career win number 12 for Rosco, congratulations to connections of both the boys.
Two starters, Two winners, Two BON's that's a pretty good way to end the racing week for us at Ladbrokes Gardens tonight.
The old warhorse Belmont Bullet made it win number 19 today and 3 of his last 4 in a slick 22.69.
But the star of the show this evening was Ali Tango (Box 3) getting back up to the 500 for the first time after a few niggling injuries, he put the paw to the floor and ran what could possibly be a track record 2nd section of 17.00 and an overall scorching time of 29.29.
Big Congratulations to both sets of connections, the group chats were running hot this arvo.
Rosco resumes with a win.
Ali Tango (Box 6) aka Rosco resumed after a month break with a win at Maitland Greyhounds last night, he gave his supporters a bit of a scare ducking back to the rail and getting into some traffic but still managed to get the job done and bring up win number 10 of his career.
The kennel has found some form making that our 7th winner from our last 9 runners. A big thanks to everyone at home who gives me a hand these results aren't possible without their help.
Also big congrats to Trent & Jerome, these boys seem to win every time one of theirs goes around just recently, I know they're loving the ride and that's what it's all about.
Bullet does the business.
Old warhorse (we can call him that now his racing in masters company) Belmont Bullet (Box 1) showed there's still plenty of fire in the belly by winning his Eighteenth race at Ladbrokes Gardens yesterday and running a BON 22.93 on a very heavy track. Knowing they can't keep going forever and all the great memories he's given us over the last couple years you really appreciate every win.
Congratulations to the connections.
Screeching (Box 1) opened his account at Wentworth Park Greyhounds last night making it four wins from five starts for us.
After being steady away he took advantage of his inside draw to get close enough on the top turn and work to the line nicely in 30.10. He's going to make a nice middle distance dog but we'll work through his grades while we can.
Congrats to connections Jerome & Trent who are having stacks of fun with this boy. 🐔
Bullet salutes on his Birthday
Last night was a special win for Belmont Bullet (Box7) as it was his 4th Birthday, he's been such an amazing dog winning his 17th race last night and I'm sure everyone that follows knows the Easter Egg story. He's given me memories that money can't buy, he celebrated the win with a milkshake and a cupcake and slept in the house 😂.
Congratulations to the connections 👏
A DAM good start to her career.
Last night at Maitland Greyhounds we had Dam Exciting (Box 8) make it win number one on debut in a very smart 22.62 on a heavy rain affected track.
Congratulations to breeders and owners David Blench and Michael Phillips from DAM Racing who look to have another smart one on their hands.
Screeching (Box 4) makes it three on the spin since arriving from Victoria with a tidy win last night at Maitland Greyhounds, stepping up to the middle distance with us for the first time he handled the extra trip as we thought he would running out a convincing winner by a tick over four lengths in 32.04
Congratulations to his owners Jerome Ballard & Trent Freeman.
Screeching goes back to back today at Ladbrokes Gardens.
Our new addition Screeching (Box 8) makes it 2 from 2 for the kennel after having do some work and overcome some interference but still proved too classy running a nice 29.69.
Congratulations to his owners.
New addition to the kennel Screeching (Box 3) does the right thing for us tonight at Ladbrokes Gardens scoring in a handy 29.75BON on a wet track.
He did a couple things wrong but proved too strong in the end.
Congratulations to the Red Flag Syndicate on the win.
Been a bit quiet here at Belmont Racing just recently, getting some new acquisitions ready and a few little niggles, we've hardly had a runner the last couple weeks. But it was nice to get Barefoot Dave (Box 8) back to headquarters Wentworth Park Greyhounds last night where he showed his speed to loop the leaders on the first turn and race away to a nice win in 29.76 on a sticky deck.
We're off to Grafton Greyhound Racing Club Sunday for a heat of the Thunderbolt with Nangar Jim and Ali Tango.
Congratulations to the connections 👏
Ali Tango (Box 5) was one for the thrillseekers tonight jumping at odds of $1.10 he gave the punters no need to worry and once he led he carved out some serious sections.
He keeps improving this boy and is really turning into a nice dog.
Congrats to the Red Flag Syndicate. 👏
