It was a huge day yesterday for the inaugural NW3 trial in NSW. As a close friend often says, "we were kissed on the arse by a fairy" when the weather cleared, and we all managed to stay dry (apart from our feet 😬).
Congratulations to those teams that titled 🤩
The skill and tenacity involved in passing 6 elements with zero faults over one event should not be understated! 💥
Thankyou to our team of officials, CO Lesia Burford , Judge Jennifer Gambell, Judge Suzie Emery, and SRL Tom Bowe 👌🙏
Thankyou to Tocal Accommodation, Catering & Events for again allowing us to use Tocal College - RTO 91166. The venue offers such fabulous search areas for our teams, and the office folk and staff are always a pleasure to deal with.
Thankyou to Nikki Taylor Photography for coming along to photograph teams doing their stuff 📸 and Serendipity Coffee Van for keeping us all caffeinated ☕️
Lastly, the biggest shout out goes to our team of volunteers. From 7am in the morning they trudged through mud, lugged stuff around, and generally worked their arses off throughout the day. All of it done with good cheer and no complaint. So from myself, the officials and every team that competed *THANKYOU* 👌👊🙏🩷

Big thank you to Carolyn and East Maitland Rural Fire Service for allowing us access not only to some awesome vehicles, but also some terrific spaces that represented NW3 search areas perfectly 🚒👨‍🚒👩‍🚒🤩👌🙏

I'd like you all to meet Miss Bonnie 🥰 Bonnie is a 13 year old rescue dog that yesterday not only gained her NW2 title at the ACSW trial held in Sydney, she also received the *Bravo Award*.

The Bravo Award is only awarded to rescue dogs. But not just any rescue dog. The recipient of the Bravo Award must most importantly show joy and enthusiasm through each search, and yesterday Bonnie searched in a way that reflected her love of the game 🤩

Bonnie is the poster girl for all that is great about nosework. You don't need to be some fancy pants breed, or have some ridiculous long name with a list of letters and symbols after it. You can be a portly older girl, who got picked up off the streets and adopted by someone who thought you might enjoy doing some sniffing, just for the love of it 💕

Congratulations to both Barb and Bonnie on your achievements yesterday. That Bravo award could not have gone to a more deserving dog 🥰😇🩷

Congratulations to all those teams who participated in our NW1 Trial at Tocal Agricultural College yesterday. As usual, the venue did not disappoint, and nor did the weather (thank Heavens!) 👌

I wanted to give a big shout out to my epic and Trojan volunteers! What a team they made, words aren't really enough to express my gratitude. It can be a stressful day, but having that team at my back made all the difference 🙏🫶

Thankyou to CO Suzie Emery for being so supportive throughout the entire day, for always having a kind word and a smile, and for challenging the competing teams with some great searches🙏

Lastly, thankyou to our 2 judges, Lynne Harding and Holly Floyd, plus shadow judge Jen Hassell for giving folks a calm and supportive start to all their searches 🙏

Now, onward and upwards...June NW3 here we come!! 😃🤩👊

What an amazing 3 days the K9 Nosey Parker's team have had, spent with Leah Gangelhoff!
Two days of intensive further education, and then the icing on the cake with a day of private coaching 😃
We can't thank the ACSW - Education Division enough for bringing Leah to us 🙏
Opportunities like these deepen our understanding and love for K9 Nose Work and allow us to pass the learning and joy on to our students, both 2 and 4 legged 🥰🐾
Hopefully Leah comes back soon, and when she does, get yourself there! 🤩❤

So proud of all the Nosey Parker teams that competed at our NW1 Plus trial yesterday at Tocal Agricultural College. The college was the perfect location for our CO to create some challenging but doable search areas.
Nosework represents something different for every team. Sometimes gaining a title is the goal, sometimes just getting our dogs to a point where they can be comfortable in the trial environment is the goal, and sometimes just spending the day together with our dogs is the goal.
Whatever the result yesterday, I know you all achieved something, and I know your dogs did you proud ❤🐾

Today was a picture perfect day for the K9 Nosey Parkers crew to get together for a mock NW1 Plus trial 🌞

Some challenging environments added a layer of difficulty to the hide placements, giving all the teams an opportunity to broaden their experience.

And of course we always make time for a cup of tea and cake! 😁🐶🐾❤👌
