Its been a year of highs and lows as horses and life can be.

We would like to thank Nathan & Jen Wood and their team for their tireless work and amazing home for our four legged friends. ❤️

We finish the year yet again as the highest ranked Australian breeder on the WBFSH rankings despite breeding only a handful of foals each year. We are proud of our achievements, especially when other studs breed up to 10 times more foals! 💪🏻

2024 has seen our horses win major Grand Prixs in New Zealand, Canada, the USA and Europe!!!Thank you to the riders and owners who continue to trust that a Cera horse is the right horse for their journey. 🇺🇸🇩🇪🇳🇱🇳🇿🇨🇦🇧🇪

In the breeding barn Cera Charisma has consistently proven he produces amazing foals and now the proof is in the pudding with Charisma progeny winning countless young horse classes, age group champions, Rising Star Finals, height classes etc at the biggest shows in Australia. We are very proud to see our influence on Australian showjumping! 😎

It is also great to see the winning horses that do not carry our Stud name however descend from mares we have bred, chances are if you see a fancy horse in the ring, we probably have influenced it in some way.

The breeding season has reinforced the fact that we should keep breeding in some manner with some of the best foals we have bred hitting the ground in recent months, ready to find their new partners to realise their potential. Two stallion grand prix prospects in particular, wow! 🤩

Im looking forward to closing this year out as it has been a tough one on the personal and family health front and again we are very grateful for all the support.

Our motto has always been “The mare matters!” It does, we realised that very early on. 😅

Even the recipient mare matters (in embryo transfer). 😂
Have a look at the mare on the left of the video, she certainly takes up babysitting offers to a whole new level. Her foal is laying on the ground under another recipient mare, who thankfully is a saint as well as a great babysitter!

These kids are so lucky to grow up in these huge undulating paddocks at Boree Equine.

⭐️ Outstanding jumping c**t for the top of the sport ⭐️

Absolutely outstanding c**t bred to jump at the highest level internationally with close relations successful all around the world!! This guy is so athletic and absolutely floats, he will have the most incredible movement! 🔝 He is going to be one to watch in the future, you can already picture him jumping a big grand prix! By Clarimo who himself won 1.60m Grand Prixs in europe and is sire of countless jumping stars including Chardonnay 79 and Bardolina 2 who has won over 1.3 million euros in prizemoney to date!

Dam sire Casall is stallion of the Century, he retired sound at the top of his game winning the Global Champions Tour of Hamburg at 18 years of age! Unbelievable! So far he has sired Olympic medallists, Global Champions Tour winners and winners of countless 1.60m Grand Prix around the globe! Casall is also the sire of Cera Caruso who has won over $500,000 in prizemoney and has helped us to be the highest ranked Australian breeder on the World Breeding Federation Rankings for quite some time despite only breeding a handful of foals each season!

Grand dam sire Carinjo was also one of the best of his era winning numerous 1.60m Grand Prixs in europe and was also still winning when retired at 16 years of age!

This fellows dam is a full sister to Cera Charisma who jumped 1.50m in europe as an 8 year old! This c**ts uncle L.B. Crumble was successful at 1.55m as a 9 year old and C-Steffra (1.60m) who was on the winning Nations Cup team in Aachen last year is also by Clarimo and from this same direct 1.60m dam line!

Fantastic in every way! Perfectly marked and has the right attitude to also stay a stallion if desired. Here is a superb c**t for the absolute top of the showjumping sport world wide. Invest in your future right now!
He is an Embryo Transfer foal and is available to go to his new home with the recipient mare now (mare must be returned to the vet) so you can watch him grow and enjoy him!

Did you know… 🤔🦄
That Cera Caruso (Elvis) was the 5th Cera bred horse to be born. We have always been about quality not quantity and usually only breed a few foals each year. Elvis was born via embryo transfer which was lucky as we lost his mother before he was born.

We sold Elvis as a going 4 year old to Carissa and Mike McCall in New Zealand. Carissa bought Elvis sight unseen and without a vet check.

Carissa did a super job producing Elvis in his early days and then he went to Katie Laurie to broader his horizons. Together with Katie Elvis has won major Grand Prixs in New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the USA. He has won well over over half a million dollars $$ in prizemoney in his illustrious career!!! He has competed right up to 5* 1.60m level including winning in the prestigious International Ring in Spruce Meadows and he has won more rugs than you can poke a stick at. He has been the highest ranked Australian bred horse on the World Breeding Rankings for a very long time!

Elvis, now nearly 16yo has been a character from the moment he was born, he was such a cool dude always taking everything in his stride and we have thoroughly enjoyed following his long and successful career in competition arenas around the globe! Congratulations to Carissa for having the foresight to buy Cera Caruso and to Katie Laurie for all your success in the ring! 🍾🥂🎉

Wow, wow, wow!
Bred to jump at the highest level with 8 generations of 1.60m Grand Prix horses in her pedigree! She is seriously everything you could possibly want in a young jumping prospect!
Brave, scopey, careful, plenty of blood, stunningly beautiful, correct in every way and from a good family!
Great attitude under saddle! Only been under saddle a short time after having a beautiful filly for us.

Earlier this year I was lucky enough to visit this cheeky monkey in the USA. After a few minutes he realised it was me and just wanted his tongue scratched by his mum. How amazing is it that horses remember people even after years have passed. 🥰

I must say Im super excited about our small line up of exceptional jumping bred foals due this season!

We dont breed many but we do breed quality and have a very high strike rate of youngsters going on to do great things!

Thank you to all our clients over the years for partnering with our amazing athletes and taking them to all corners of the globe to compete at the highest level! We are loving the journey and its truly incredible seeing them on the podiums in so many countries around the world! ❤️

Its also wonderful seeing the influence we have had on showjumping (and eventing) here in Australia - both through what we have bred ourselves and also through the first class progeny now competing by the stallions Cera Cassiago and Cera Charisma.

With the technical tracks we have in showjumping today, one of the biggest differences between a good rider and a great rider is good and correct foundation/flatwork (and horse power 😉)

Wise words below borrowed from Elsa Berggren 👌

4 things I learnt from working with different 160 riders around the world that I will always bring with me…

* Your hand can move forward, sideways & upwards but if you pull backwards you ride the horse backwards. (You also shut down their engine and their jump)

* Ride with one hand or hold the reins in a "bridge" is the most effective method to prevent an unsteady contact. (This is useful in all disciplines)

* If you cannot do all your proper flatwork (transitions, collection, lateral movements) in a light seat you're probably using your seat to push the horse forward instead of making sure the horse is in front of the leg. (Again true in all disciplines)

After all flatwork, which starts with ground work, and manners on the ground is how you communicate with your horse whilst jumping a track. Give it some thought.
