Hello, are you okay? Did you survive the storm ?
I sincerely hope everyone is ok and still has power.

All of Ireland, both Northern and South, were under a Red Weather warning for storm Éowyn. The winds were ferocious during the night, hurricane force the news says. I’m told it was 85mph where we are at 7am this morning.

There was plenty of warning it was coming though, even a Government Alert sent to our phones but I’d already made the decision to bring ALL the Cats into the cottage 🫣 even the boys ….Lorcan didn’t seem to mind he had to stay in the bathroom 😂

I don’t think anyone in Ireland got a wink of sleep, and neither did we but we are safe.
Some damage to the Cattery runs and lost the roof to the old one but it’s nothing compared to the damage I’ve seen on the news today.

No point in showing you my windows, that I can’t see out off because of the layer of salt ….so a few photos of the Cats, oblivious to everything.

She got into the porch when I was cleaning her room and I think she’s checking to see what Tighearna is doing 😹

Fionn will be 8 years old this year. He is happily retired and today is enjoying a stroll around this woodland part of our garden.

How difficult could it be to pose for a Christmas photo ?
holding a massively heavy Norwegian Forest Cat , who just wanted to smother my face in kisses, haha

It was taken just after Holly was spayed and cleverly covers two “Cat” words her modifiCATion from cat to Tiger 😉

🌟It’s December 😁🎄❄️

If you’ve been following our Cats/this page for a while, you will know that I love December and the excitement of Christmas and last few years I’ve done a Christmas countdown , sharing a photo every day 1-24th Dec.

I’m doing it again….went through my archives, all 15,341 photos of Cats and kittens and have come up with a theme…”Cat” words 😹

Yip, words with Cat in them and a photo that may (or may not) match
Just to raise a smile or two 🤗 Here goes..

Lots …and I mean “Lots” of Ooh’s and Aah’s today
Just for fun I took two of the kittens to the Ulster Siamese and all Breed Cat Club Show in Royal Hillsborough…as well as Lorcan.

The kittens just sat looking absolutely adorable and charmed everyone.
Élysées was awarded first place in the kitten NFC class and Esme second.
Élysées also won First place in Section 2 Breeders kitten. Yippee 🎉

StrangrFjordr Lorcan Mac Cuill was awarded his third Challenge Certificate and subject to confirmation by GCCF today becomes a Champion 🎉

Probably because I forgot my Do Not Touch sign, he licked everyone that offered him their hand through the pen….including a few important Dignitaries that were visiting the show 😹

It was a good day, chatted to so many lovely people and made some new friends….it was also great to meet up with the other breeders and have a good long chat 😁
Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers for a lovely show.

Today is the big reveal 💕

I’ve been keeping this girl quietly in the background…but as she is looking absolutely fabulous, she’s ready to pose for some photos.

🩷This is Cleopatra 🩷 a Silver Tabby
She was the tiniest kitten in Lottie’s litter. The smallest and lightest kitten that I’ve ever had and to be honest, I was initially worried….
Patience, love and a special feeding schedule just for her, has paid off and today she walks like the Egyptian that she is.

She was fed with a syringe to start with, every two hours and then bottle feeds and then I would sneak her away from the others to give her an extra feed, a plate of her own, making sure she got enough.
Maybe as a result of this, or just her loving personality, she is so very affectionate and still insists on snuggling on me in the evenings.

If you look closely you will notice that her eyes are different shape and size, but she has a fabulous profile, her coat is luxurious and that makeup looks divine.
This is the kitten I’m so proud of, Isn’t she fabulous !

Our little Space Travellers are really taking off ….. Their eyes are just starting to open. I lifted them up onto the bed for you to get a better look at them, closely guarded by mum, Elin. Endeavour has had a growth spurt and is now 313g and Boy can he squeal !! Calipso isn’t far behind at 308g While Gemini is 265g, eyes not open yet but he certainly enjoyed his cuddle and the attention. Very sweet 😻

Friday 26th April Took this video of Elin yesterday……but she waited until this morning to deliver her babies I’m sitting here, which happens to be my Birthday, delivering kittens 😁 3 so far…happy wriggly noisy babies What a present 🎁 After the heartbreak of what happened to Athena, this is extra special !!!

This is Athena and I think she is …..🤞 Certainly eating twice as much and sleeping much more And if she is….. she would be due mid April 😁 And Elin…..has also been in with Amadeus, just last week, it’s all happening !
