January and February are always awkward months for Pacific Hound.

It’s still cold and will be for a while, but most of us are craving the sunshine and heat.

But here’s the thing…it literally snowed here last week and as much as I love the warm sun, the truth is…it’s going to be chilly and rainy for a while.

I find my dogs wearing their scarves now more than ever and I’d like to think they appreciate the gesture.

Tell me, is there snow on the ground where you’re at?! ❄️

Last week we dropped five new scarves in the shop and the Iris is quickly gaining popularity and for good reason 😍

We’re loving the cool tones in this new drop but also loving how perfect they are for Spring and Easter without being overstated.

Meet Teddy.

His parents sent this photo in after little chats over email and his face just makes me smile.

His dad mentioned how much everyone loves his scarf and gets compliments everywhere they go.

And I believe it. Look at how CUTE he is 😍

I meet a lot of people and dogs when I’m out hiking.

Not because I’m overly friendly (which I probably am to a fault) but because I’m photographing dog collars on a random stump in the middle of a forest. 😜

In this particular instance, I was at a hotel photographing our collars when I saw this sweet boy and his family out the corner of my eye.

So, like any completely sane person would do, I walked over and asked if I could photograph their dog in our new Summit Collars.

Long story short, she said yes AND ended up purchasing the collar on the spot because she loved it so much.

Ps: I tried to offer her the collar as a gift for letting me photograph her dog but she demanded to support small and I’ve got a big place in my heart for people like her 💙

With gorgeous hues of blue and orange, our Signature Summit Collar is almost like a spokesmodel for the PNW.

The deep blue reminding us of all the gorgeous bodies of water surrounding us and the orange a reflection of the mountains at dusk.

Sometimes I have to pinch myself because it just doesn’t seem real that I get to witness this scenery first hand and my dog gets to wear a symbol of my favorite moments frozen in time.

Little Luna deserved a permanent spot in the feed…because LOOK AT HER 😍

We get asked all the time if our scarves fit cats and the answer for most cats is yes! Best part? Our small scarves are almost always in stock so your options are endless!

As always, we don’t advise leaving your cat unsupervised with anything but a breakaway collar on.
