Dry Creek Mini Ranch Dry Creek Mini Ranch is home to a "Noah's Ark" of animals. So far everything we are raising is miniature - except our birds and Great Pyrenees Dogs.

Our minis include Zebu Cattle, Pygmy Goats, Miniature Horses and Donkeys for sale or trade. Dry Creek Mini Ranch is a working mini ranch with 35 acres of rolling hills, "dry" creeks, pastures, trees, and 5 ponds (two are stocked with koi and fresh catfish). Our cattle herd started with Zebu and expanded to include Shorthorns, Longhorns, and Scottish Highlanders which we are cross breeding to get

our own unique brand. While all our cattle are special, our pride and joy is Savannah - a sweet natured 34" Zebu cow that would rather sleep on the front porch than be out in the pasture with the other cattle. To tell you the truth I'm not sure she knows she is a cow. The Pygmy goats are very entertaining with the kids bouncing, running, jumping and mehing.

Great idea!

"A few weeks ago, I started the 'I need' box in my class, a way for my students to ask for help without having to come directly to me. They write their needs on a card and leave it in the box.
The first week, two boys let me know about a bullying situation. We got it taken care of. The next week, I changed the format a little and started having EVERY student put a card in the box every day. They didn’t have to write on it, but every student visits the box daily.
Since then, I’ve had a plethora of 'needs' submitted. They range from specific supply needs, seat changes, special handshakes when entering class, after-school help, bullying situations, and even hugs.
What’s even better is students are starting to come to me directly with issues/challenges they are having bypassing the box completely. I’ve been teaching middle school for 15 years, and I can honestly say this is the best thing I’ve ever done to reach my kids this early in the school year." ❤️

So glad my husband is home. The Mule got a new set of 6 plys and rides like a dream. We loaded up the girls and went for a ride so he could see our new bull calf and guess what - voilà- another heifer calf was born. Good lookin herd. Chrome loves his women. Gotta love August!

Cattle are chowing down on the new hay delivery.

We’re trying to get the cattle to come eat to the sound of our bell instead of the sound of the Mule. Looks like it’s working.

Dee is clearing some good Mule roads. Lookin good.

They delivered another load of #4 rock today for the driveway. The cattle were quite interested and came running from the bottom pastures to check things out. It must’ve scared them when he started spreading the rock as they all turned and ran, jumping into the pond.

Pixie (our precious Shihtzu) is earning her keep. She is herding the goats in. She brought them in from the other side of the creek. Pretty amazing. How smart these sweet doggies are! She has been with us on the back porch when the goats came in but we never took her out and showed her what to do. And she still rounded them up and took them all the way to the gate. ALL of them.
