Lost Dogs Iowa This page is for all lost & found dogs in Iowa. If you have lost or found a dog, please file a report.

We are an all volunteer group committed to reuniting owners with their lost dogs. This service is provided free to dog owners, shelters/rescues and animal control professionals. We are strictly an online forum providing the means for owners and finders to post and match up dogs to get them home. We do not have possession of any animals and do not assist in placing them. We are not affiliated with

any animal control agencies, rescue groups or humane societies, but support their efforts and many support our site as well. Mission

* Reduce the number of "strays" in shelters.
* Protect lost dogs from injury.
* Protect the public from traffic accidents caused by loose dogs.
* Educate the public on effective methods of finding lost dogs. Description
This page was created to educate, provide support, and assist owners of lost dogs and finders of lost dogs. Owners or approved representatives are asked to complete a lost dog report form and finders of lost dogs are asked to complete a found dog report form. This page also offers resources and educational tips for finding lost dogs and tips to help reunite found dogs w/owners. Also as fans of the page, please help us out by contacting finders or owners if you have or think you have information regarding their dog. Alot of times, the posters of that dog may not always be watching the page for questions or comments as we'd like them to. Please contact them directly rather than leave a comment they may or may not see. Time is of the essence, and we want your helpful information in the right hands! If your lost pet is microchipped, immediately contact the microchip company to “red flag” them as missing and to be sure your contact information is current. This will prevent a shelter, rescue, or finder from trying to re-register the microchip to a new owner without your knowledge. 🐾
