We just had this wonderful family drop off their dog at the kennel to be boarded for the holidays 🐾 They had just picked out this beaut of a Christmas tree 🎄 when they ran into some tire problems.
Anyone know of a good tow truck or mechanic that could help them out so they can get back on the road and have the Hap, Hap, Happiest Christmas!? 🔧 🎁

It’s that time of year again and we are gathering items for The Romney Children’s Home.

The program is designed to accomplish two basic purposes: to meet the child’s emergent need for residential care in a safe, supportive setting and to provide a period of time for the Department of Health and Human Resources and shelter staff to assess the child’s needs and develop the most suitable plan for continued care and protection.

While the children are in transition, they need activities to help them through their time there. Craft items help keep the children active and engaged.

Items will be delivered Monday next week. Here is an Amazon list of items as a reference for craft items they would like to have. Craft items are not limited to this list. This is just simply a shopping guide. Feel free to purchase off of the list and have items delivered to our address. Or you can shop locally, then text me when you would like to drop off items. We are open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You must call or text me prior to dropping off items. We have a locked gate.

The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.
Their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulfide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.
Now comes the pretty festive colors and the glue to form cute shapes.
They regularly cause intestinal blockages and choking. The chews get slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.
PLEASE be safe with your dogs. Non-edible chews are a better option 🐶🐾

Urgent Need. These cats have one week before the owner will be forced to turn them outside. She lives in an apartment complex where animals are not allowed. They have not spent one day outside since birth and do not know how to survive on their own. If you have extra room to take one of them, please let us know by calling 304-490-9675 or send an email to [email protected]. All are tame and friendly. Appointments are made for sterilization. HSHC will pay for the spay or neuter, rabies shot, and first distemper shot.
