Happy Friday, my friends!! I have some really exciting news to share about our “Operation Angels” campaign!! We are approaching a major milestone today as our campaign is just a few thousand dollars shy of half a million dollars!!!

We currently show $402, 000 on Indiegogo, plus $78,000 from the match donation, plus $14,000 from PayPal/cheques, for a grand total of $494,000!!

I know we still have a long way between us and our ultimate goal, but let’s not lose sight of how amazing we have done so far. Half a million dollars is a lot of money, and I hope you are all incredibly proud of this accomplishment because you should be.

We still have six days to bring this campaign home, and I didn’t come this far to just give up. We’re going to spend the next six days pushing as hard as we can including the draw for the glass Esther with her little piggy hairs inside, and the new laugh ringtone to help encourage folks to come back and chip in. If you haven’t entered for your chance to win the glass piggy, please pop over to the campaign page today and grab it because it’s coming down on Sunday night, and there will never be another one.

To everyone who has already contributed, if you’re able to find just a few dollars more, I would be so appreciative. And to those who haven’t, if you’re able to spare $3-$5 we could still hit our goal. Our biggest strength in this amazing community of ours is our size. And many small donations can exceed a big one in no time. Please don’t ever underestimate the importance and impact every dollar can make on a campaign like this.

Thanks for being here, everybody, and for being part of this incredible project. We’re going back to the farm one way or another, and getting there is going to be the easy part. The real fun starts when we get there, and I can’t wait.

Buckle up, my friends. It’s adventure time.

xoxo
Steve.

🌍🐾 Are you aware that groundhogs play a crucial role in our ecosystem? Their excrement within their burrows fertilizes subterranean soil, with their digging activities loosens and aerates the earth, bringing nutrient-rich subsoil to the surface. 🦫💚

Groundhogs are a vital link in the food chain, serving as prey for various species, and their abandoned burrows offer shelter to numerous small mammals, amphibians, and reptiles. 🌿🦎

In spring and early summer, mother groundhogs are nurturing their young. Removing a groundhog during this time can endanger her offspring's survival. Contrary to popular belief, groundhog burrows rarely threaten home foundations due to their insufficient size. 🏠✨

If you need to remove a groundhog, consider using soiled kitty litter or ammonia-soaked rags in the burrow to mimic predator scents, prompting their departure. It's best to wait until late summer or early fall to ensure the young can survive independently. 🐾🏡

To keep groundhogs out of gardens, try a 3-4 foot high mesh fence with a wobbly structure. Embed it about 6 inches underground in an "L" shape facing outward to prevent digging. 🌱🌸

Groundhogs are fascinating creatures that mean no harm and, like us, are just trying to survive. Let's adopt an attitude of tolerance and coexistence with the piggies. 💚🌏
