The importance of bone and organ meat in a ferret's diet...(and cat's diet too since they are both obligate carnivores)...
Meat is only part of a ferret's diet. In the wild, predators not only eat the muscle meat of their prey, they also eat the organs--the intestines, liver, kidneys, etc as well as consume the bones. A diet composed of only meat (or even in instances, egg alone) causes nutritional imbalances. So, you may ask, where can I obtain such foods that have this harmonious balance? Well, if you hunt regularly, you probably already feed your ferret (and/or cat) some of these necessary items. However, if like others and you do not hunt, these wonderful items can be obtained at Casey's Hidden Pantry! The products we supply, are complete meals and treats. Freeze Dried Raw meat and treats! You can use the complete meals as intended, or even as a treat itself, perhaps you wish to add one of the organ meats by itself to your pet's diet. There are so many creative ways to enhance your pet's diet and get closer to this harmonious balance or downright achieve it. Either way, we hope you take a look at some of the well known brands that we carry. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. www.caseyshiddenpantry.com
