Working on a little body awareness exercise with the help of the Nubby TotoPAWDS from Toto Fit LLC. I don’t sell these, I’m just a fan!
I love that they don’t move, have a nice tactile feel without being spiky and have a good amount of surface area to help the dog be successful in finding the equipment, especially if it’s a newer exercise.
Side notes: I don’t think my dog could have chewed the tiniest pieces of kibble more if he tried…silly guy. And peep my girls on their stations being so so good and patient! ❤️
There are just four working spots left for this online class starting in less than three weeks!
This video demonstrates just a few skills we’ll work on.
If you'd like to sign up for a working spot, please send me a message so that I can let you know if working spots are still available and reserve your spot. Auditing spots are unlimited.

I need structure and a schedule to stay on task and stick with a good habit. My dogs’ training isn’t any different.
Here are a couple things I do to stay consistent:
- The night before, I portion out training treats for the next day into individual containers for each dog.
- As soon as dogs come in from going potty each morning, we immediately head to the training space for treadmill time. After that, some days are conditioning session days and then others are life/sport/fitness skill building days.
What works for you? What have you been able to build into your day to accomplish your training goals?
I decided it's time to expand my services to a new species and am happy to announce that I'm now taking Panda Bear clients! 🖤

The new Cato Planks are here and we love them!
Do you have one yet? If so, what do you like to use it for? If not, reach out and I can help you add one to your equipment list!
❓ Why do you do what you do?
So many times I see people post a photo of their dog and ask "How can I improve their condition?" or "What can I do to improve their performance in xyz sport?" Then someone asks what they already do and 99% of the time the answer is something along the lines of swimming, jogging, flirt pole and fetch.
While those things aren't inherently poor choices (although, fetch is debatable) and cross training is important, the thing they have in common is that they all primarily work cardio endurance. They're doing little to improve musculature that's specifically required for their chosen sport or goal and there's little to no mental engagement. In fact, telling someone to use fetch to wear out their dog that's driving them nuts only really works to create a beast that can run forever and still drive them nuts.
➡ In comes the SAID principle: it stands for Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demands and in a nutshell means that what you work is what you get. If you really want to get better at a certain sport, break down that sport into the movements required to perform it and find exercises that mimic those movements. This is where you'll really see your hard work pay off when it comes to improving times, jump distance, speed, etc. and have the added benefit of mental exercise as well as the dog really thinks about how it's moving and the exercise it's performing.
