"Always training in drive" if you want to speed up the process of "off lead freedom".
One thing we often see with aggressive dogs that have had loads of previous unsuccessful training is that they were never trained in obedience whilst in prey drive.
We can have ANY dog working off lead if they can perform 100% perfect obedience and LISTEN whilst in prey drive.
Thank us later. Success moves at the speed of trust between you both!
Gary Neville gives his take on balanced dog training 😮
Busy morning here. Going over some Conditioned verbal punishers.
Always dealing with the dog in front of us and never just an ideology.
Every dog is different.
Our clients Dogs leave livestock alone.
If you think your dog is GUARANTEED to ignore livestock on the back of training with treats and praise...THINK ON!
This is disgusting. Train your dogs to AVOID livestock or keep them on a lead.
Creating an aversion to livestock GUARANTEES that the dog will avoid them.
Just ask any of our clients who commit to the full obedience programme if they have this problem.......
Not on our watch!
"We just want to be able to take this boy for a walk without trying to attack other dogs or prey on anything that moves.
Once again using obedience to make sure we keep all animals safe on the walk. Choosing to LISTEN to everything we ask of him without a lead on.
They say things progress at the speed of trust and it's true, the harder we work with him the more trustworthy he becomes.
Were will never truly solve his aggression issues but we can easily manage him so that he's not a danger on walks.
We just want to be able to take him for a walk in peace!!!!
Off lead obedience. The final part of this boy's training. Managing severe Dog on Dog aggression so he can be taken for a walk without being a problem to other dogs.
We guarantee to get your dog to LISTEN!
Have you got what it takes as an owner?
The most fulfilled dogs have owners with High Level Accountability.
They know their dogs aren't babies, they understand they have an apex predator with differing physical needs and wants.
They hold themselves accountable in all areas of their lives and the dog benefits no end.
Happy Saturday
We spend lots of time working on recall. Not coming back when called should be a complete NO NO.
The dogs should be conditioned to always come back when called and to never do anything other than that regardless of what's going on.
,🤯Camp out on your local councillors drive until we get some sense.
What is an XL Bully?
Wireless Dog Lead recall 2nd session progress.
Using food and Oxytocin as rewards.
Building up an amazing off lead recall. Putting some great recall foundation behaviours into this dogs repertoire. 👇
ALWAYS train in Drive!
The Dog should be loving it more as you go along, sticky dog shouldn't want to leave your side for his OWN reasons.
Let the proof of the Haptic Recall benefits be in the pudding👇.
LET the dogs behaviour and body language tell you if learning is taking place and if they like the training or not.
Wireless pager/Haptic recall tips :
ALWAYS train in drive
VIBRATION cues the turn
CLOSE the gap (dogs goal)
Do you believe the first step in addressing a canine behavior issue should be getting results for the owner or teaching the owner WHY the behavior exists? In other words, application or education first, and why?

Drive Capping for dogs that are a nightmare outside is often overlooked, most clients we visit who have been through other training with thier dog were never educated on the concept. It's madness!
If a dog has a low capacitance threshold for storing energy you'll get pulling and alsorts of biological emotional responses.
Often it's ALL the dog is struggling to do, to be able to store energy into an obedience command
Here we're keeping the tug intensity low, using obedience and bridges to teach him how to store energy and let it go on command, in a way he truly loves.
20 minutes of this 3 times a day is enough to balance this boys drive and we see the best version of dogs on a lead after they learn this concept.
Do Slow feeding bowls "truly" solve the problem and change the eating behaviour?
Trying to slow this boys eating down somewhat using felt and a door mat. It's increased his meal duration from 45 seconds to 5 minutes.
But we can't just stop there if we are ever to get back to using a normal food bowl, there's much more to be done to truly solve this.
The next step in this work is to increase the rate of "crunches" and to make crunching the food reinforcing.
We started with a behavioural down (TBTE) and function altering stimuli (snuffle feeder).
Now we're ready to add an intermediate bridge for the "crunching" with single pieces of higher value pate.
We will be filming the full technical process in our class next week.
Have a good weekend
Back out with Georgia and Jess in the pager. Jess is a big 40 kilo lump really hot to handle when she sees dogs on a lead.
So we're firing and wiring new neural pathways that can overcome her records of the past and get her into the moment where we can all create the future.
It's all coming together for them. Confidence is booming and we've moved from "cause and effect" onto "causing an effect✌".
Lowering the refactory period of the emotional response is really where the work is done with these high prey, insecure dogs. Within all that we are cueing a turn on the pager for a good recall.
Adding all the jigsaw pieces together for a true behaviour change.
Pager Working with Jess and Georgia JT. The pager work is a dance with the dog and Georgia has the dancing skills to pay the bills :-) not sure about me though
