Maths of the handler's influence over the dog is akin to intensity of the light related to the distance from the source.
This is how it works: The intensity of the handler's influence over the dog, is inversely proportional to the square of the distance from the dog to the handler. This shows that as the dog's distance from a dog increases, the intensity of such influence is equal to a value multiplied by 1/d2. Thus closer the handler is to the dog the higher influence he has over the dog and vice versa.

"The Dog is Your Mirror" by Kevin Behan presents several lessons that explore the deep connection between dogs and their owners.

Here are lessons from the book:

1. Emotional Mirror: Dogs reflect their owners' emotional states. They can sense and react to your feelings, often displaying behaviors that mirror your inner emotions.

2. Unconscious Communication: Dogs communicate with their owners on an unconscious level. Understanding this communication can help in training and building a stronger bond.

3. Behavioral Reflection: Many behavioral issues in dogs are reflections of unresolved issues within their owners. Addressing your own emotional health can positively impact your dog's behavior.

4. Pack Dynamics: Dogs view their families as packs and their behaviors are influenced by their role within this pack. Establishing clear leadership and structure can improve their behavior and sense of security.

5. Empathy and Connection: Dogs possess a unique ability to empathize with humans. They can provide comfort and support during emotional times, reinforcing the human-animal bond.

6. Energy Flow: Dogs are highly sensitive to the energy flow in their environment. Maintaining a calm and positive energy can help create a harmonious atmosphere for your dog.

7. Self-Discovery: Observing and understanding your dog's behavior can lead to greater self-awareness. It can highlight aspects of your personality and emotional state that you may not have been conscious of.

These lessons emphasize the profound interconnectedness between dogs and their owners, suggesting that improving the relationship with your dog involves personal growth and emotional awareness.

"Always training in drive" if you want to speed up the process of "off lead freedom".

One thing we often see with aggressive dogs that have had loads of previous unsuccessful training is that they were never trained in obedience whilst in prey drive.

We can have ANY dog working off lead if they can perform 100% perfect obedience and LISTEN whilst in prey drive.

Thank us later. Success moves at the speed of trust between you both!

The hardest part of having a dog is saying goodbye.

Busy morning here. Going over some Conditioned verbal punishers.

Always dealing with the dog in front of us and never just an ideology.

Every dog is different.

Our clients Dogs leave livestock alone.

If you think your dog is GUARANTEED to ignore livestock on the back of training with treats and praise...THINK ON!

This is disgusting. Train your dogs to AVOID livestock or keep them on a lead.

Creating an aversion to livestock GUARANTEES that the dog will avoid them.

Just ask any of our clients who commit to the full obedience programme if they have this problem.......

Not on our watch!

"We just want to be able to take this boy for a walk without trying to attack other dogs or prey on anything that moves.

Once again using obedience to make sure we keep all animals safe on the walk. Choosing to LISTEN to everything we ask of him without a lead on.

They say things progress at the speed of trust and it's true, the harder we work with him the more trustworthy he becomes.

Were will never truly solve his aggression issues but we can easily manage him so that he's not a danger on walks.

We just want to be able to take him for a walk in peace!!!!

Off lead obedience. The final part of this boy's training. Managing severe Dog on Dog aggression so he can be taken for a walk without being a problem to other dogs.

We guarantee to get your dog to LISTEN!

Have you got what it takes as an owner?

Why we don't use obedience to solve difficult behavioral issues

Are leadership and dominance relevant in dog training? YES they are! Not only are they relevant, they are the cornerstone of HUMANE dog training. Using forceful techniques has NOTHING to do with either leadership or dominance!

It is surprising how many people do not UNDERSTAND these concepts and WHY they are critical for successful and HUMANE dog training plans.

To keep it simple:
Dominance is the consistent first right to limited resources and is NOT to be confused with resource GUARDING (the tendency to guard something already possessed).
Leadership is the decision making for the group.

What dominance is NOT:
It is NOT anything you probably learned in a popular dog training TV program.
It is NOT when you train with a certain type of collar.
It is NOT when you must do everything first.
It is NOT alpha rolling, jabbing dogs with your fingers, intimidating dogs, or about anything physical.
It certainly is NOT some sort of MYTH.

Read studies here: https://dogtraining.world/article-categories/dominance/

This clip gives some information on how to properly APPLY dominance and leadership into your dog training programs. This is relevant for personal dogs or even clients’ dogs in your in-kennel programs.

If you like our streams, we have about 100 of them listed in the easiest order to learn on our website and the fastest-growing public knowledge base of scientific dog training studies in the industry.

Always do your own research and form your own opinions. Be the best you can be for the dogs you train, their owners, and the industry that you love.

Wet n wild one today 😊

There's almost nothing better than having your dog in bed keeping your feet warm. A dog that nips in to see you whilst you're soaking up the bubbles. There's nothing wrong with snuggling up with your dogs on the sofa. Having your dog lay with you when you're off work with a migraine can be a great thing.

BUT YOU CANNOT DO THIS WITH EVERY DOG!

Some dogs will want to control their basic needs like resting places and affection. Even their food or personal space. They often resort to aggression to end the conflict over who has rights to limited resources.

Some people are living in permenant conflict with their dogs through not understanding this very simple concept of leadership and first right to limited resources..

Anyway, don't take my word for it 👇

We spend lots of time working on recall. Not coming back when called should be a complete NO NO.

The dogs should be conditioned to always come back when called and to never do anything other than that regardless of what's going on.
