How to incorporate training into your every day routines. Feeding time at our house we working on 4 things: sit, stay, look and release.
I would make sure your dog knows these commands before you try it with their food bowl. The temptation can be too hard for some dogs to be able to hold a stay. If they do break the stay I bring the food bowl back up and start again.
This is a great way to work on impulse control as well.

Sometime you have to stop for some snuggles. These two always make me smile.
The best part of my job is getting to be a part of people’s families and welcoming so many awesome dogs into my life.

Kevin and I have been working on staying close and recall. We put this to the test today with our adventure to the desert to see the wild horses. He did so good. I am pretty sure he was scared of them. Didn’t try to chase or bark. We ended up having to walk through a huge herd of cattle on our way back to the truck and Kevin was terrified of them. They were mooing at us and he couldn’t figure it out. I am very proud of him and the way he listened. •
