On Command K9 Education is about bringing you, your family, and your dog closer through education, training, and understanding. My training methods are simple, realistic, and based on each individual's needs. In each training course, you and your dog will get the opportunity to learn obedience commands, as well as proper leash technique. I will also form a plan for your family's needs covering su
ch things as potty training, jumping, barking, even perimeter training to keep your dog from bolting, or entering a nursery, etc. Whatever your goals are for your pet, together we can reach those goals. YOU are your dog's trainer.... yes! And with my help, I can show you how to acheive leadership and a positive, lasting relationship with your dog. My teaching method, again, is simple. In my ten years in working with dogs I understand that most behavior issues are at home. This is why I offer a personalized, in-home training course. I set my classes around your schedule and teach you how to tackle issues in a real-life environment. If your dog has issues jumping on furniture, barking at guests, stealing food, has anxieties about traveling in your car, or is scared of the trash truck... all of these issues cannot be worked with at a training facility. Sure, you can learn techniques on how to deal with them, but there is nothing like hands-on, in-home training. I pride myself on making sure that you, and your family are comfortable in being your dog's life-long trainer. Since the dog lives in YOUR home, and lives with YOUR family, it only makes sense that the dog listens to YOU! And you can acheive this....easily. I offer every client a free consultation and of course, through the duration of the course and after, support, "refresher-courses," and further problem solving. You may be thinking, "Refresher Courses and further problem solving?" Yes! Once your dog goes through obedience training, they are not magically transformed into little dog robots that will be perfect forever. Situations in life may come up, like getting a new pet, having a baby, or even moving. All of these situations create the possibility of your dog showing new unwanted behaviors. I will help to teach you how to prevent, and how to work with such "issues." I will be forward in my closing in saying that if you are not 100% committed into working with your dog on a daily basis, for at least 30 minutes a day... please save your time and mine and find another trainer. This sounds, again, blunt. However, I take a lot of pride in what I do, and what I put my name on. So if you are not committed, I cannot help you. If you have any questions, or concerns, please feel free to send me a message on FB, an email, or call me! Roberta :)
