Adopt, Don't Shop. Pet Adoption Page This is a page dedicated solely to getting pets adopted from various shelters, rescues, sanctuaries, etc, from across the nation. He never kept anything down.

We don't not allow "private adoption" posts. We do not have a physical address and we do not have a phone number. This page is dedicated to my deceased four legged friends, Doc Edwards Hancock, Buck and Jake. In 2008, my wife and I went to a shelter and saw this beautiful white puppy with black spots that was 7 days away from being euthanized. We asked and they let us take him into the socializat

ion room. He ran around, ran under my chair and I had my hand down to pet him and he rested his chin in my hand, looked up at me with those puppy dog eyes and I was hooked. I had been in professional baseball and the former manager of the Cleveland Indians and now the current manager of the San Angelo Colts, Doc Edwards, is a really good friend of mine. So, I named Doc after Doc Edwards. Doc was the best friend (human or canine) that a person could hope to have. We did everything together and played together every day after work. He helped me work in our garden and loved to play catch. On February 26th, 2009 Doc became ill. I took him to the vet but they wanted $900 just to run the tests. My wife had been laid off from her company and I was working but we were barely getting by. The vet gave me some medication to help with his vomiting and said that he'd be fine. I stayed up all night giving him Pedialyte in a baby bottle. The next day I took off from work and stayed home with him. I carried him out to the yard and set him in the sun in his favorite spot, hoping that would help him out. He didn't improve and I rushed him to the vet hospital again. He passed away about 10 minutes after we arrived. I still think about him almost every week. So, this page, in honor of Doc, is solely for pet adoption. Shelters, rescues, etc all across the country are welcome to post information about pets that they have up for adoption. Cats, dogs, horses, ferrets among others are all welcome. What this place is NOT is a place to sell your animals. We have nothing against any animal but this is specifically for those animals that are up for adoption and need warm, loving homes. We ask that everyone stay on point and not post memes or such on the page. They will be removed. We are dedicated to getting pets out of shelters and rescues and off of death row and into homes. We are not dedicated to memes and clatter. Discussions about pet adoptions are welcome and as stated above, this is for the entire United States. Feel free to post photos and other info on the pets that you have up for adoption. Also, you are welcome to post photos of lost pets. FB makes the world a much smaller place and you never know who might be the one to see your missing companion. When posting information about an animal that is up for adoption, please include the city and state with the contact information. Welcome and we hope to find all pets a warm home, even ferrets. :)

"This guy followed my wife and son home from the park. he had a chip and we found the owner lived 25 miles away from us. We returned him and the next day we received a call from the owner asking us if we wanted to keep him. Meet Boomer. 🙂" ❤

This old boy, Jet, is 16-years old. My son had him for 10 years and then my son died unexpectedly. His mother, (my ex wife) took him in. She died on December 28. Before she died, she asked me to take Jet to my farm to let him live out his days. Jet was raised and lived in an apartment his entire life. Where he came out here to my farm, he was still in mourning over the loss of my ex wife and son. He was also having mobility issues. A month later and he’s become more mobile and is excited to go tend to the livestock. I have 5 other rescues and they all get along great. He melts my heart every day.
