ONE MORE FOSTER NEEDED!!!🙏🏻
Our current foster homes are full so we’re reaching out to our bunny community for help.

We have secured a potential foster home for one bun. We can’t possibly leave the other bun behind. Who can help us?

Clyde (5.5years) and Roger (almost 7yr) are beautiful angoras. They are single (not bonded) boys and already neutered. Their owners currently rent and the landlord suddenly changed protocol and no longer allows the bunnies in the house. Their family started saving hard to purchase a home and get these babies back indoors where they belong.
Unfortunately the husband passed away suddenly in an accident and plans have changed significantly for the family.
The wife has been dealing with a lot of health issues recently and is now struggling to provide the boys with the care they need. They have started to develop mats and they need a place INDOORS where they can be part of the family again. If you are local to the Mpls/St. Paul or surroundings areas and can make room for the remaining bun, please complete a foster application on our website.

They were rescued with 13 of their litter mates from a meat breeder and have enjoyed a life of love and nurturing ever since.
Bonded rabbits are so very special and we advocate very strongly for keeping families together whenever possible.

Hi, we're Willow and Spruce, the ultimate sibling duo!

I’m Willow, sweet and outgoing, with adorable speckled ears. My brother Spruce is shy but super loving once he feels safe. Together, we’re the perfect team—I boost his confidence, and he keeps me calm.

We’re young and full of energy, so we love exploring and playing (as long as everything’s bunny-proofed, of course!). Plus, we’ve got perfect litter box habits and are working on tricks like "spin."

We’d thrive in a calm home with patient humans who understand our quirks and will give us time to warm up. Older, respectful kids could be great, too! Let’s start our adventure together!

We’ve noticed that our larger breed rescue rabbits seem to get overlooked for adoption😔
Take Lex and Seth for example, this beautiful bonded pair were rescued from a nasty meat breeder and have been waiting for so long for a forever family.
Our small breeds and Lops get all of the attention and are adopted much more quickly.
When considering adoption please don’t overlook our larger breed rabbits, they deserve as much love as the smaller fluffs!

I’m super social once I feel safe, and I love greeting my foster mom at the door, especially when it’s mealtime (cilantro and timothy hay are my favorites!). I thrive in open spaces to explore, and I’m a pro at keeping my area tidy with impeccable litter box habits. My favorite pastimes include skating around on hardwood floors, chewing on palm-leaf bowls, and hunting for treats in snuffle mats. We’ve had some messages asking how our Christmas Day intake Gabriel is doing, thank you for checking in on this sweet little dumpie.
Gabriel is being treated for two eye infections and possible frost bite/ mite infestations on his ears. This little guy is holding his own, he’s eating and taking his meds like a champ. We have high hopes for a full recovery but for now we are just happy that he’s warm, safe and adjusting to foster life.
Keep him in your thoughts and prayers, he’s a fighter❤️

Bonded pairs are so special! Sometimes it takes time to bond, other times it’s immediate but once the bond is solidified it’s best to never separate bonded rabbits unless absolutely necessary. This includes going to the vet….. even if one bun of the pair is going to an emergency appointment that may need an overnight stay, it’s beneficial to bring the bondmate along for the ride to and from the appointment for comfort and support. Sweet Pea (white) our disabled bunny went for an emergency vetting appointment yesterday and having her brother and bondmate there for support was so crucial! He never left her side and helped relax her in a scary and unfamiliar environment. *Not to worry, Sweet Pea is home and recovering❤️ Rabbit bonds can break quite easily if they are separated for too long so use the bunny buddy system whenever you can!

Cheeto and Frito, two handsome Mini Rex brothers, have been waiting TWO YEARS for their forever home. Meet Clarice! This beautiful BEW baby girl was dumped outside and left to fend for herself but now she’s safe with us here in the rescue. She has to grow up a bit more before she can be spayed and ready for her forever family. With the cold temps upon us there will be more like Clarice that will need a safe warm space for their second chances. Become a foster home for an RRMN bunny, it’s a beautiful feeling! Our local rabbit community is the absolute best and our volunteers brought the thunder today as per usual! If you haven’t attended a Rabbit Rescue Of MN Romp and Spa we highly recommend it!

So very many of our intakes come to us with water bottles. Upon intake they drink and drink and drink. Domestic rabbits are not pocket pets and they need a water crock/ bowl to properly hydrate. They drink just like a cat or a dog. Please ditch the water bottles and replace them with a heavy ceramic water crock to keep your buns properly hydrated.

Rabbit Rescue of MN was contacted to rescue a total of 8 rabbits that were dumped on the property. They were going to be shot if no one stepped up to rescue them. On a Mission to Help Those In Need

Rabbit Rescue of MN is a 501(c)3 non profit rescue. Our mission is somewhat different than that of many other rescues as we take in sick, abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted domestic rabbits as well as rabbits from the public that are no longer wanted. We fundraise in order to get proper vetting and then focus on rehabilitation to ready our rabbits for their furever homes.

We are 100% volunteer based and have no paid staff. All of our rescue rabbits are cared for in private foster homes where they are properly housed and receive love and socialization. We do not advocate housing our rescue rabbits in pet stores of any kind. Prior to adoption we screen our applicants thoroughly including a background check and a visit of our applicants home to insure that our rescue rabbits will be properly housed in a well ventilated, well lit and space appropriate area. Included in our mission is education about proper housing, diet and medical care for first time rabbit families.

Our rescue rabbits are all spayed, neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. We pride ourselves on informing the public that domestic rabbits are “Exotic” pets/ family members and require very specific care, medical needs and housing as well as a space in the home where they can be part of the family.
