BrisDogs.com Jubilee Park Baiting
🚨🚨WARNING to the SCUM who are committing these baitings🚨🚨
Brisbane's dog baiting saga is showing no signs of slowing, with fears copy cats are striking across the South East.
7NEWS Brisbane just aired this with a very important message from the RSPCA.
📰RSPCA's prosecutor is threatening jail time if anyone is caught. It is a criminal offence with a maximum penalty of 1 year behind bars. (not enough as far as I’m concerned!!)
📰The RSPCA has been running an investigation into the baiting for weeks. They're urging anyone who's dog is treated for suspected poisoning to report it to them immediately to build their case.
📢📢MY SAY 📢📢
Dear SCUM,
We love our dogs like our children, and you are putting them at risk.
Your acts will not stop us from walking our dogs, will not stop us from using council dog parks and will not stop us from making Brisbane more dog friendly.
You have made us all more vigilant in checking public spaces and keeping them clean. You have made us all better dog owners.
Whatever your reason is, you should rethink it.
Regards
BrisDogs
☢️☢️ BAITING WARNING☢️☢️ - UPDATE
There have been more disturbing reports yesterday and today at Waterfront Park in Newstead and New Farm Park.
❌Courier Mail have reported 4 deaths In the area.
❌The Rescue Collective - Posted yesterday that there had been 8 deaths in 24 hours. We would encourage many one in the inner city of Brisbane and around the river to be vigilant.
❌Nine News - had a story yesterday reporting 2 deaths.
The number doesn't matter. The most important thing is for us to all be vigilant.
❌The Fortitude Valley Vet posted what to look out for -
What to watch out for (any of these): if your dog is lethargic or experiencing weakness; if your dog has tremors, if your dog has excess salivation or is slobbering more than usual, if your dog collapses and has seizures... ➡️➡️ see your local vet immediately (call ahead to check that they're open) or head to your nearest emergency hospital.
Please be vigilant. We love our furry community so let's look out for each other's dogs as well. If you see something, please speak to the dog's owner - your kindness may just save a life.
