Fun times at the CRCS Frozen Friends show in St. Helens, Oregon this weekend. Wine Country Roca (Brindle Silkie Sow) received an Honorable Mention under judge Linda Loucks. I didn't get many pics, but my favorite has to be Linda's multi BIS winning Silkie boar. I was scribing for Kathi and the look he was giving me... That eye was something else.

Super Congratulations to Jennifer Harris on her double wins today at the Rebel Rabbit Breeders New Year's show! BIS for Wine Country Piedmont, TSW Boar and RIS for Wine Country Malibu, GA/R/W Sow. While they are Wine Country pigs Jennifer did all of their grooming since they were tiny. I'd say you've gotten it figured out!

I'm willing to let this guy move on.

Wine Country Tommy Two Toes, GA/W Coronet Boar. He actually has 3 toes, but Tommy Three Toes just didn't stick. 🤣🤷 His momma was a little too zealous in cleaning when he was born. He's not showable. I was holding on to him for a breeding prospect and I was worried he might be the only baby I could keep from this pairing. His mom has since had another litter and I have a lot of nice boars, so I'm willing to share. He's very nice.

For the first time in years, I had two silkies born in my broken Coronet program... Recessive genetics are fun! 🙄🤷😆
I didn't manage to get pics in my hurry tonight. The GA/R/W sow is super cute!

Babies! My pigs tend to have babies in waves. I just had baby 11 and 12 born today. 🤪 All from the Broken Coronet program! 7 boars and 5 sows.

Cavy show in Enumclaw, WA today. Wine Country Wooly Bully was Best in Show under Judge Tracy Jarvis. Thank you to Linda Loucks for keeping him in coat, driving him there and showing him along with your beautiful silkies. Also congrats to Janelle Reid on her RIS with TSW Wine Country Freckles. He looks fantastic!

Wine Country Wooly Bully made his grand appearance at ARBA convention in Louisville, KY yesterday. He didn't win big but I think he gave the other boars a run for their money! Thank you Linda Canfield Loucks for taking excellent care of him and Nicholas Windsor for the pics! Also huge congrats to Linda on her RIS win with her beautiful silkie sow. Linda also had Best of Breed Coronet with a Moose grandson. ♥️ Dana Kolstad had Best of Breed Teddy and Teri Jordahl Best of Breed Teddy Satin!

Oregon Cavy Breeders Society show was yesterday and it was a good one! Lots of kids and kid activities and a nice sized show at 160+. I was fortunate to have Wine Country Wooly Bully (GA/W Coronet Boar) get an honorable mention from judge Jason Whitehurst and Reserve in Show under Judge Linda Loucks. As I mentioned in my other post, I brought home some Texels. The GA/R/W sow is a really curious and sweet girl. She was peaking at me in the carrier yesterday. Too cute!

Thanks Kat for the picture edit! Swapping it took out my Texel girl pic, but oh well! Pick your battles, right?
