We have been breeding Cockapoos, exclusively, since 2015.
We only breed multi-generational Cockapoos.
We do not breed first crosses, for decades, without advancing the breed.
We also do not mix in other breeds, this includes other breeds of Spaniel or Labrador, our dogs are *only* bred from Cocker Spaniel and Miniature Poodle foundation stock; this means we can accurately predict the size and look of our grown pups.
All our puppies are guaranteed not affected (by way of DNA testing on our adult dogs) by the following, breed specific, genetic conditions:
* Autosomal Hereditary Recessive Nephropathy
* Degenerative Myelopathy
* Exercise Induced Collapse
* Neonatal Encephalopathy
* Elliptocytosis B-Spectrum
* Familial Nephropathy
* Von Willebrand’s Disease Type 1
* Mucopolysaccharidosis VI
* Phosphofructokinase Deficiency
* Progressive Rod Cone Degeneration (PRCD-PRA)
* Black Hair Follicular Dysplasia
I have been asked about hip and elbow scoring for our dogs however, this invasive testing is not necessary for genuine Cockapoos (as advised by several vets) as these conditions are not recognised as effecting these foundation breeds in New Zealand. If you are advised your ‘Spoodle’s parents have had hip and/or elbow scoring done (a process that involves unnecessarily anaesthetising the dog to take x-rays of the joints) they likely contain Labrador/Labradoodle in their history.
Our puppies are raised in home so are exposed to the regular goings on of an average household, vacuum cleaners, TV, phone ringing, kitchen appliances running, visitors, etc.
Our puppies are well socialised with a variety of people, and other pets, including dogs, cats, bunny’s, small ‘pocket pets’, sheep, goats, and pigs.
Our puppies are raised on premium dry, freeze-dried raw food, and fresh raw food. We also use a range of supplements to ensure puppies get the best start in life.
Our puppies are regularly flea and worm treated, and microchipped before leaving us.
Our puppies leave for their new homes at 10+ weeks, we don’t ship puppies out the door bang on the legal minimum of eight weeks; early socialisation with mum/dad is very important for puppies so this is not negotiable, we are also happy to hold puppies a little longer to work in with work or holiday commitments of new family’s.
Our puppies are rehomed as pets only, not for breeding.
Our puppies are $2700, and come with an (airline approved) dog crate, 3kg puppy biscuits, toy, and blankets to bring familiar objects to help puppy settle in.
We also offer a New Owner Puppy Pack (NOPP) for $600 that includes (in addition to the above); 3kg Black Hawk Lamb & Rice Puppy Biscuits, WOOF Freeze-dried Lamb 320g, two packs of dog treats, two packs of supplements, leather collar, leather leash, car/walking harness, clicker, food and water bowls, blankets, five assorted toys, puppy pads, toilet training supplies, grooming comb, shampoo, conditioner, and detangling spray. Total pack RRP $630+/-.
We do not have a waiting list, when we have puppy’s available, we will post to the page.
We open litters up for reservations between 4-6 weeks.
To reserve a puppy we do require a deposit of $800, and confirmation whether you are also wanting a NOPP.
All enquiries are welcome, please PM us.
We also appreciate receiving pictures of our puppies as they grow :)
