Hicker The Heeler Follow the adventures of a rescued cattle dog as he travels and explores the outdoors with his peopl I was born on an old couch in a barn in Oklahoma.

My momma was a stray, and we think my dad was a cattle dog. . . at least we pups sure look like we have a hefty dose of cattle dog! We were brought to rescue when we were two weeks old, my siblings and momma got adopted. When I was four months old, they brought be to Colorado to New Hope Cattle Dog Rescue! (Look them up! They're AWESOME!) My foster mom took me to an adoption event, and I met a 12

year old black lab named Sam. Sam and I played, but Sam had cancer, so he got tired quickly. I really liked Sam, so I snuggled up with him when he needed to take a break, and that just made Sam's mom fall in love with me, so she became my mom too. Sam passed away a month after I met him, and it was hard to say goodbye to him, but I still live with mom, dad, and the two cats, Behemoth (I think he's a dog and want to play with him.), and Hella (she chases me and scares me with her hissing!). I go on lots of hikes, and spend nights in tents. I even got my very own pack for my birthday, so I am gradually learning to carry a little weight. Mom and dad say I'm going to thru-hike with them. That sounds awesome! Thanks for following me here! I hope you'll enjoy my adventures as much as I do! Woof!

Today, we didn’t get our usual outdoor exercise, because mom and dad said there was a blizzard or something. I do know that there was a lot of fun snow to romp in when we went for potty breaks! Mom and dad gave us this fun nose work toy for some inside fun too! We got to tear it up and find bits of kibble inside with all the paper stuffing!
