Go get your newest best friend! 🥰

***FREE CATS & KITTENS***
Here we go again.. We are filled with cats and kittens. Even though we have spayed and neutered over 1,800 cats already this year we still have lots of unwanted cats and kittens coming in. If you are looking for a new friend, please consider adoption.

I know I am no longer in the area- but when looking for a pet care provider, please be sure to check if they are insured... It may seem silly but it truly is important!! See below examples of what insurance can cover when needed (and you never know when it will be needed!)

Listed below are some actual claims paid because the pet care providers were responsible enough to have coverage- some of them are quite pricey.

I can't imagine being in pet care and actually working WITHOUT insurance!!
(Info from PSA newsletter/site)

· The client cat was nipped on the thigh during grooming after the member tried to clean up matted fur in that area; vet care was needed - $215.02 paid

· At the member’s pet daycare and boarding, the client dog was let outside off-leash and somehow injured his back leg; the member took to vet for broken femur - $9238.44 paid

· The member tripped over the client’s cat at the client’s home and broke the coffee table when she fell on it - $416.71 paid

· The member left the water running in the client’s laundry room, which caused the water to leak through the ceiling fan/light and cause damage - $21,332.10 paid

The above are actual claims that have been reported to the insurance company and the resulting payments made on behalf of the PSA members. Some of the payment totals above include loss expenses to the insurance company. Also, some of these claims involved the $500 off-leash deductible. As a reminder, the only deductible on the policy is the $500 off-leash deductible and that only comes into play when a client pet is voluntarily released from its leash outside of the above ground fenced yard of the pet owner or the pet sitter (if the optional pet daycare & boarding coverage was purchased).

**Please note that some of the claims listed above were covered due to the member purchasing the necessary optional coverage(s).
