Particular house in Hollow section never seems to end with kittens & cats , even after Bpt ACO removes a mom cat from was being protective of her kittens & got upset with so many people around her & her kittens. Yet another kitten is found ….

People get upset when I tell them I cannot or won’t take their owned cat or their mother’s cat, etc., and I’ve been asked what kind of rescue group are we then? When a person can no longer care for their pet due to illness, death, no time for cat, etc., it is up to relatives and friends to step up to the plate to help. Don’t give a beloved pet away to strangers. Step up to the plate. Stop insulting me because you no longer want your cat or your relative’s cat and we have a bad rescue group because we won’t tske that poor cat. We are not that type of rescue. There are rescues and shelters that take surrendered cats. We can’t do that AND help stray & homeless cats & kittens of Bridgeport.

UPDATE: think we are all set. Martha picking up on Monday at Orange. Marissa & Carol D helping with feral spays. Tere M dropping off Tuesday morning. Terri picking up Tuesday. I need an aspirin . Thank you all!! Asking for help: pick up at veterinarian in Orange on Monday between 2-4:00, AND. Anyone willing to donate to a local non profit for 2 of ferals we trapped to be fixed? My usual vet isn’t doing ferals right now which puts our rescue efforts in a terrible situation

So four kittens were found on Bridgeport street, in cardboard box. One appeared to have drowned. The 3 kittens are safe now but not out of woods at this point. They’re quite young.. If I EVER see scum leaving kittens, cats, puppies or dogs left to die or fend for themselves, I will not hesitate to call local police with your plate number, take pix, call police and will show up with other animal rescue folks at every single court hearing. Don’t dump animals. Don’t be an as***le.

After attending our adoption event at Captain’s Cove , tomorrow, Aug 17, stop by Guilford to see all the vendors, great food, animal adoptions & various rescue groups at their tremendous BAAC Rally! The riders will ride & everyone invited to Guilford to enjoy the day! Music too! $10 entry fee. Support BAAC so they can support local animals in need! Like our Trooper, who is now a sweet one-eyed kitten !
