Bridgeport Cat Rescue Helping the cats of Bridgeport CT find safe homes & be fixed & vaccinated to curb feral cat overpopu We ARE NOT A SHELTER and DO NOT TAKE SURRENDERED PETS.

Nancy & friends volunteer in assisting to curb the feral cat overpopulation in/around Bridgeport through various spay/neuter programs in the area & through the generousity of rescue-friendly veterinarians who offer rates in which cats can be fixed & vaccinated at reasonable rate. We also feed feral cat colonies, provide cat (& dog if requested) food to those folks who need the pet food to maintain

their pets in their homes & gear folks towards ways to get their pets fixed in a way that complements what their household budget will allow. The cats (and sometmes dogs) are rescued from the streets in/around Bridgeport.

Thank you to everyone who supported out valentines day fund raiser! We will be able to fix several ferals and this is HUGE! Surgical appointments & prices vary widely. We rarely can get the ferals done at the most cost-efficient vets but we try!! Thx so much!

Reason we don’t prefer to take in surrendered cats. #1) there are local rescues who obtain their adoptable cats through surrendered cats solely. Not BCR , as many of you have seen our videos. ( #2) “ Untruths” from so-called owners. For instance: we took in a surrendered female just because I had trapped & fed a crazy large colony on that street. Supposedly cat was fat; I said she was prego. In home were supposedly only 2 females & prego cat never went outside…. Biology may not have been my best subject in college, BUT something doesn’t add up… 2 newborn kittens are in the world now….

Ferals Cow & Fluffy released. They were miserable crated. There’s a feeder & some newly-made cat shelters & I have put straw in various covered spots they seem to frequent. They’ll be fine . They won’t be fathering anymore kittens

More shelters done! Just need to stuff with straw! Hope cats can be warm and toasty!

Didnt trap kitten OR momma. Hope no one feeds there tomorrow. I’ll try again!
