Helping the cats of Bridgeport CT find safe homes & be fixed & vaccinated to curb feral cat overpopu We ARE NOT A SHELTER and DO NOT TAKE SURRENDERED PETS.

Nancy & friends volunteer in assisting to curb the feral cat overpopulation in/around Bridgeport through various spay/neuter programs in the area & through the generousity of rescue-friendly veterinarians who offer rates in which cats can be fixed & vaccinated at reasonable rate. We also feed feral cat colonies, provide cat (& dog if requested) food to those folks who need the pet food to maintain

their pets in their homes & gear folks towards ways to get their pets fixed in a way that complements what their household budget will allow. The cats (and sometmes dogs) are rescued from the streets in/around Bridgeport.

A little snow won’t cancel our adoption event tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 11, from 11am - 2pm at Aubuchon Hardware Store, 590 Main St., Monroe!! So unless it’s snowing like crazy, BCR cats will be there waiting for you!!

We have to do slight adoption fee increases due to rising veterinary & related costs. Kittens 1 year & under: $250. Adult cats generally $200-$225 . BUT for our shyer cats or cats in need of more TLC, adoption fees MUCH lower as an incentive to help the more needier cats find the wonderful homes they deserve! We at BCR are unhappy to raise fees but everything seems to cost more these days. Luna & our other rescued kitties hope you understand!!

Sibling kittens Sandy (Torti) & Luna (all black) looking for a home together! Still need to be spayed but that will covered in adoption fee. Affectionate & sweet. Mom & siblings tested negative to Feline Aids & Leukemia. Need to stay together. Affectionate & adorable!

Mimi 3 is a sweet grey & white older kitten, short hair, under 1 year, found running around a crowded busy street looking for dinner. Doesn’t seem to enjoy other cats so probably best as only cat in the home. She’ll be spayed, etc, for our Jan 11 adoption event . She is a sweet purring cutesy who didnt deserve to live outside in the outside in the frigid cold, searching for food.

Max is a loving young adult fixed male cat,1 yr old. We don’t know his background but we think he was thrown outside to fend for himself. Same sad story. As such, he is better suited as only pet. Probably had to learn to find his next meal when put outside & may have had to compete for food. On his own, he is a purring affectionate medium haired grey cat looking for a lap and a family to call his own!

Look at pretty Maggie! She loves to get back scratches, but doesn't like to be picked up. I think that will change when in a home of her own! So pretty & sweet.

Meet Mishu. Given up by a five year owner who moved out of the country. Fixed. May prefer a male owner who can build up a bond of trust. Shes confused & unsure where her former owner is. Poor cat but a good looking cat!

Autumn (a/k/a Marilyn) is very much a lap cat just as long as no other pets are in the home. We took her in as she was near to birthing her 6 kittens. She was a great mom. We guess 2 years old but she made have had a previous litter in a home with male cats constantly trying to, um, , have their way with her! We found out after an adoption into a home with another cat thst she won’t do well in a 2 pet home. She needs to be the center of your family ‘s attention. She loves affection & gives it back in return!

If just a little light snow on Saturday, we’ll still hold the adoption event starting at 11am at Aubuchon Hardware, 590 Main St., Monroe. Other than a store cat named Tilly, Aubuchon has all of your winter weather needs!!

Needed are pictures of an ID with your current address or utility bill or some significant bill with current address. Please submit lease section allowing pets & contact info for landlord if a renter. If an owner, mortgage statement with redacted banking/mortgage info. Thx so much!!!

Ferals Cow & Fluffy released. They were miserable crated. There’s a feeder & some newly-made cat shelters & I have put straw in various covered spots they seem to frequent. They’ll be fine . They won’t be fathering anymore kittens

Shelters finalized! Hoping the cats like them!

More shelters done! Just need to stuff with straw! Hope cats can be warm and toasty!

ADOPTED!! Purring sweet Maple adopted by foster mom who initially contacted me about the colony from which we trapped Maple! Whats all that noise?? Oh that’s just Maple purring & making biscuits! Come meet her Saturday
